Not a bad way to do it if you want to sell mobile sites, but obviously it's not as easy as every product creator says it is.
He clearly got lucky with the 30k deal because one guy owned 10 businesses and wanted mobile sites for all of them plus an app.
who don't have a mobile/responsive landing page. Not only are they losing customers they are also paying through the nose for clicks due to bad site quality.
In fact you can get clients all day long finding business whos PPC ads land strait on their corporate site
rather than a dedicated landing page.

Most of us here know that we're not going to get a 30,000 deal from this wso, that being said .. this is an effective lead gen method. I got a positive response with the 1st prospect I contacted. I did however, add my own twist that definitely helped.
After i sent the email I used Slydial to leave the owner a voice mail where I basically introduced myself and politely asked him to look at the email I sent him. Slydial is a free service that connects you directly to the voice mail of any mobile number in the US .. the best way to cold call in my opinion. :)
There are my results ..

Hi Scott,
I found your xxxx service on merchant circle today and noticed that your site is not mobile friendly.
I use merchant circle on my smart phone just like the majority of people do these days so you could be missing out on those potential customers.
I have a quick fix that will get you mobile ready for 25.00. I've attached some before and after screen shots for your reference.
Contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks for your time.

Hi (My Name Here) :)
Thanks for the call and email. I actually have a guy who manages my website and I forwarded this onto him. His name is Ryan and he might be contacting you..
Thanks,
Scott
I didn't get the sale right away but that's ok since this was the only prospect I contacted so far. I'm going to be scaling this method up now and I'll try to keep you guys updated on my results.

Dude!
I love your post and I've read a few of your others. You know a few things about lead gen! (Only I know a lot more.)
Repped you and the OP! This isn't a bad product. Mobile is so hot right now, you can burn your hands on it!
This is one of those storybook products. I stumbled into this - you should do it too - da - da - da!
In this case, $30k is very doable - even reasonable to the right company. (Regardless of what pinhead naysayers are babbling about - I do deals that size and bigger every week!)
And I can see you guys closing even bigger deals with this one thing - way bigger.
LUCK HAS ZERO TO DO WITH IT!
BUT
You are bringing ole Quasar to tears! (And that ain't easy!)
You don't sell hundred dollar bills for nickels dude!
$25?!
Really?!
And then you devalue your services by telling them it is a "quick fix?!"
Man Oh Man!
Never! Never! Never!
You are shitting in your own pond!
What are you delivering to the buyers?
More customers, right? That is a BIG deal!
You trying to tell me a customer is only worth $25 to an offliner?!
Bullshit!
That customer you are bringing them has what you know as "lifetime customer value!"
You did research what that is to your target market, right? Hell, anything bigger than a pizza joint will pay more for leads and the expression: "quick fix" - should not exist in your lexicon when communicating with offliners!
Most of them don't know and can't tell an intricate IM job or fix from a simple one.
Why would you volunteer that anything is a quick fix and make yourself sound like a minimum wage Geek Squad flunkie?
That is GOLD dude!
At best - you are selling your services - whatever they are - for a fraction (10% or less) of what they are worth!
PLEASE STOP!
Or I will have to find you and then I will have to kill you!
