Okay...well that didn't work.

Could it be me? I had 2010 and it worked fine, updated ONe Note and then it wanted an activation key...I had bought the laptop used and didn't have one...

I uninstalled office then installed it with this download (on this thread) and when I launch a program it still asks for an activation key.

Or is it the download itself that no longer works as intended?

I have MS Office 2010 Pro on my PC, but for whatever reason I am now getting the error msg: Product Activation Failed. I am in no way tech savvy so I'm lost as to what to do. I downloaded the application from here and did not have to register it or nothing. I believe it is this same download. I still have my original download and tried installing it again over the first install, but that did not solve anything. It didn't even work. I can't remember if Office updated or not. I've had it for more than a year so I think it must have. I was told that that could be the reason that it is now asking for 'Activation'.

I've come back to download it again but not sure if I should delete/uninstall what I have left of the first download and install or just install the new one over the old? I haven't attempted anything yet so I'm hoping someone can tell me what to do before I proceed. Truth be told, I'm afraid of causing harm to my computer or somehow corrupting anything else. I've just begun publishing on Kindle and really need the software to continue my work. On top of that, I just spent a ton at Udemy learning how to use all of MS Office and this happens.

If someone would just tell me what the hell to do I would appreciate it. Also, if you could PM me with any response I would appreciate it even more.

HELP - PLEASE

I am running Win10 and have Microsoft Office Enterprise 2010 Corporate Final (full activated) running on my PC. I've had it for a long time and now, after using PiriForm's Crap Cleaner, I'm getting a pop up window telling me that my version of Office is not activated and will not work after so many days.

I had this problem once before but can't remember how I worked it out. I have an activation/registration number that came with it, but not sure if I should use 'IT' or try and find another. The one I have, I used when I first installed it. Will it work again?

I'm not in anyway tech savvy so I'm not sure what exactly to do. A little help would certainly be appreciated. Just tell me what to do. Use the old number or get a new one?
