Nice info big tuna! It does seem like a lot of people had success with promoting affiliate offers with youtube though. But I agree way to many WSO are about YT.

The thing is, it used to be fairly easy to get to page 1 for really competitive keywords, I'm talking weight loss keywords like "lose weight in a week" etc, but now it's as though Google doesn't allow YouTube videos for those terms anymore. There is a guy who I regularly chat with who was also ranking a lot of videos a while back, he was ranking for keywords for 10 to 20k monthly searches, but now he's moved on, because it's not worth it anymore. The products that I've seen lately are all about ranking for local terms, or for product launches, and are not competitive at all.
