Thanks for the review, Big Tuna. I just skimmed after downloading.
On another note, this was the only thing I downloaded last night, and immediately after got malware in my Firefox browser - ads and pop-ups all over from "macvx." All links went off-site too. I thought the forum had been hacked, lol.

Big Tuna is right on this by my own observations when searching for keywords I notice less and less results with a youtube video as a result.

For local utube marketing just remember that your marketing to the local folk. DO many split tests and this can be done thru fiverr. Just do research on demographics for your area. In this day and age more men are at home and having an attractive woman between age 35-45 (non porno) can send boatloads of traffic. Works with all the tradecrafts. The script is really the key but the visual enhances the message. Market to men and women with different human models from fiverr and watch your stats. Homosexual couples are now a much bigger market also and you can take cues from popular TV shows such as 'Modern Family' to learn how to market to them. I know this sounds funny to some but I watched 'Modern Family' last night with my Wife and got so much info. Just goes on and on. Just so much bank to be made locally and most of my work is organic with direct links to homepage/sales page. Plus you can meet these local business people and they'll network for you like wildfire without asking. Just over deliver. This Sh*t Works members. I got most of my info about this from OMG and bring the fresh. Can't find my bookmarked links now but just search and you'll find. Bottom line is utube is viable!!

Key question for this method:
Can we safely put the Clickbank hoplinks in the Youtube descriptions of
the videos directly, without a landing page (although cloaked with
tinyurl)?
Does YT allow that?
Cheers

With local markets people usually have an immediate issue/need to be addressed and direct linking can be advantageous. With affiliate marketing you want to capture and entice your market. Offer free related content and get their email. I've used Tinyurl and Pretty link url shortners and you must get experience with both. Pretty link offers a bit more but you must try and decide for yourself. (10-16-2014 03:09 PM)Big Tuna Wrote: [ -> ]I've been working with YouTube videos for quite some time, and I can tell you that early this year something changed with Google's love for them. It may be because every Guru told people about how easy it was to rank them, or that 1 out of every 5 WSOs over the last few years has been selling people on how easy it is to make bank with YouTube, but unfortunately, the love isn't there anymore. Thanks for the review big bro!!
I'm not saying you cannot rank a YouTube video (of course it's still easy to rank for local terms), but in terms of competitive terms, it's not anything like it used to be. A lot of my videos that were on the first page of Google were booted to the 2nd page early this year, and even when I browse the SERPS for certain terms, I can see that there are nowhere near as many videos on the first page as there was last year. But people keep releasing these crappy products about ranking YouTube videos in Google, like it's still easy to do- and giving proof from last year. Or they tell you that their product will teach you how to easily get to the first page of Google, and then you realize that their keyword gets 100 searches a month. In other words, these people are not creating WSOs based on their own experiences, instead they're likely rehashing some old WSOs and adding some variations. Or they realize that YouTube isn't working anymore, and want to cash in on the method. I read quite a lot of WSOs and other products related to YouTube this year, (maybe over 100?), and I can tell you that I haven't learned anything new from any of them. They've all been giving the same information as the one previous.
