Hello mates!
Question:
When starting DSP I've just begun to get an error massage reading:
"Unable to write to and update "C:\Windows\Sytem32\drivers\etc\hosts".
Anyone else having this issue and if so how do you correct it?
Thanks in advance for you help mates!!
P.S. Does anyone have v3.8.3?
Regards,
ebizmoney

Have you found the solution? None of the solutions presented on ServerPress worked, I changed my AV to the ones recommended.

Hello,
I had the same problem myself.
I was thinking that this was because I was using an outdated version (3.8 - or something like that).
Maybe someone knows or wants to do a GB for this.
There's certainly enough participants?
Thanks,
MrCricket

Try right clicking your hosts file > Security and edit Permissions so Administrator has full control over the host file.

Guys maybe try out this tool: https://local.getflywheel.com/ it's a bit better like it allows you to test emails and flexible and best of all completely free for both windows and mac!
Also just so you know I don't have anything to do with the people that create this software, and gain nothing if you use this tool or not. I'm just another dev that is trying to give you all a tip!

Those having host problem try running the program as "ADMINISTRATOR" let me know if it works.
