web-hosted autoresponder plugin VS third party autoresponder companies Aweber,Getresp
I started this thread to get your opinion on the best autoresponder option to choose

both options have their pros and cons

I would love to get some insights from people who are using either one of the options, or both and their experience with it

and which one do you recommend?

I am Planning on using a web-hosted solution: Mymail or IMSC rapid mailer and use a SMTP service such as (Amazon SES) to send my emails, mY EXPEnses will be minimum, i won't worry about deliverability issues since amazon Ip's are a of high reputation and my emails will be delivered, and i will have control over my list and also many other benefits

but the main benefit of this method is that you don't have to pay as your list grows which is a fortune saver especially for people like me who are not from the US, and a minimum 19$/ month, is actually a fortune

so which option are you using, and which one do you prefer and stick with

Thanks in advance

Wink

RE:
you can use sendy (sendy.co) with amazon ses. easy to setup and simple clean interface for sending mails. You can also use arpreach with amazon ses , smtp etc.. One off fees and you only pay for sending if your using amazon ses $1 for 10k emails. if it's anew domain you need to ensure that dkim etc are setup before sending.

Aweber and getresponse have whitelisted servers on most isps so less chance of getting a domain blacklisted..

I use a mix of both.. i've got some self hosted and some with the auto responder companies.

RE:
it nice to have web hosted autoresponder for backup...but you need to get 3rd party autoresponder also because it have a lot feature to offer. In terms of deliverability I highly recommend Sendreach. I watch some of their videos showing the email send are almost 100% reach the inbox and not spam box or promotion tab (if you use gmail)

Sendreach offer lifetime acc but the offer already ended on late Feb this year. Anyway, mostly old IMer are going to migrate to Getresponse or Sendreach from Aweber because of their services suck and their double optin terms which may reduce your optin rate.
