for anybody who seriously wants to study this, watch the free prerequisite video (#2) first.
you will need a working knowledge of

tcp/ip and application protocols.
programming language (um, yeah)
client and server model
basic concepts of data structure and algorithms and finally,
understanding DBMS.

so unless you just wanna collect courses without actually using 'em,
