Wordpress GPL Sites
Hi All,
My first post, just joined! Came over from a site that shares the same logo ;) What's everyones opinion on security/authenticity of sites like: https://www.ultimatewoo.com/ https://gpldl.com/ http://woogang.com/ These sites redistribute premium plugins and themes under the GPL license. In other words, since the Wordpress code is GPL apparently the plugins that use the code fall under GPL as well. The sites mentioned above repackage or redistribute these plugins, now free based on GPL, and charge a monthly fee to download them. The reason for my post is not to discuss ethics or what impact this is going to have on premium plugins but rather to discuss security and malware. Has anyone looked into these scripts? Is there anything dodgy going on?
