Who are where to hire for development work? - Need advice

Hello,

I'm looking to hire someone to make a cpa raffle script for me under my specifications.
What is the best site or firm to contact that can do the work for a reasonable price?
Or where can I search such places to find some?

Anyone have experience with this?

not going to give you my sources, but i suggest looking for a programmer in china or philippines. there are a lot of programmers to choose from in those two countries. i like going directly to a source rather than a product/management company/service and manage my own team.

make sure you know what they are doing though through your interview process by knowing what their experience is and seeing past work or you WILL get scammed. no money should be given up front either.

go on craigslist or other classified ad sites/forums that are specific to the country you are targeting. even if it's not on a classifieds site, forums are good to seek out those people(specific to the country). word spreads fast in certain countries when you are willing to hire someone. if other people don't have the skills, they probably know someone who does and will refer someone to ya.

looking for someone in the philippines in my opinion is your best bet. they know the english language better than the other countries. you don't want any communication problems.

Thanks alot, but I dont know where to look for this type of work. Not everyone works with postbacks, I need someone who has experience, I don't even know where to post or how to post it. I was hoping for something like elance.

you have to do your research just like everyone else. you can probably find someone on elance that would do the job perfectly for you. in my opinion, they are better than freelancer. i did give you my suggestion though. i hate the middle man and like going directly to the source. the only way to do that is by researching. i could recomend a couple people here in the states, but they are probably out of your price range. i've used them before as project managers but i wouldn't hire them for programming. too expensive.
