RE: Which Keyword research tool give best accuracy in Keyword copetition
yup.i know what you mean.i tried 4 different types of keyword research tools and there is almost always a difference. My favorite keyword research tool is over at seobook. Its free and it usually averages out between the results of several keyword tools. I also used keywordrevealer and kwfinder ( the free version).Serp dot com is free but it doesn't show the same keywords unless you search for them directly.I just use it to confirm if a keyword does get traffic or not.
Sometimes one keyword tool shows a lot of traffic and when you plug the same keyword in a different keyword tool it shows little traffic.I usually check the same in keyword in 2-3 keyword tools. When you do this you sometimes get some lucky gems because the results differ and you find a keyword that has a lot of traffic but did not appear in either of the tools. So when you copy-paste that keyword in other keyword tools that didn't not show it,you realize its actually there and getting traffic but its not shown so that people can take advantage of it. I heard good things about Ahref when it comes to keyword research. There are some guys here on the forum offering this service at around 10$ or so. Hope that helps.Cheers! |

Well that is the thing. How is that "difficulty analysis" calculated?Number of backlinks going back to a website? How high the website with a specific keyword ranks in google? The PPC competition for a keyword?I would take that result with a grain of salt. The fact that these keyword research tools can't seem to even give the same numbers when it comes to traffic makes me doubt their accuracy when it comes to "difficulty analysis".It always makes me ask...compare to what?It is not like all of these keyword tools are using the same difficulty algos and everything is based on that. How would a keyword tool know how deep are the pockets of one of your competitors? |

RE: Which Keyword research tool give best accuracy in Keyword copetition
I haven't visited KWfinder in quite a while. They look like a pretty decent alternative to LTP (I currently only have a free account with them). A couple of things I like about KWfinder right off the bat is that it is browser based - so you don't have to deal with installation issues like LTP (Though LTP also does offer a browser based version as well these days). It also seems to instantly show many (but not all) kw difficulty scores instantly, which LTP does not.
The one thing I didn't like about KWFinder is that when you go to export, it only exports the keywords, and not their corresponding data. In the results I tried between both, their difficulty scores were not identical, but reasonably close enough. They were usually only off by a few points in the keywords I tested. |

There is no best tool in terms of keyword competition. The trick is to stick to one tool, and over time you'll understand which keywords are easy and which are hard based on its ratings and your experience with those keywords.
