The key to getting viral is to provide regular updates, something which benefits the fans.

Run contests, use facebook apps , give them freebies on some opt-ins ( Cpa and shit)..

You will not be able to change the name of your page. So if your facebook name is Selena Gomez your fan page will also be Selena Gomez. I did manage to convert once by changing my facebook name just before I converted and it worked but in later tries this failed.
