This is exactly what I'm doing. I use google site stacking to target micro niches of 300-500 searches/month. For such sites, the inherent power of Google stacking and external links of syndication matrix are enough.

Then I have one set of generic niche syndication matrix set up. There you can post to target 10-15-20 different Google niche sites. If you want to quickly rank a optimized Medium post, then just post into syndication matrix design for quick powerful backlinks.

For tumblr matrix, the goal is to quickly get 50+ expired high authority tumblrs in 1 week or so. And then use them amply in one syndicaiton matrix set up. I usually use 10-15 expired tumblrs in one set of syndication matrix design.

You don't need any paid software for this. Having scrapebox is definitely helpful, but I have easier ways mentioned and more importantly how to use them.

For the issue of banning on a platform, you just need to have close observation with a common sense approach. For example, one of my Flickr account in the syndication matrix got banned which is very rare, but I observed it happened just after joining some groups where some one might have manually reported it seeing the automated posts. So just an experimental approach with a close observation would help you on any platform. If articles without links getting banned, then might be different IP ( RDP ) would help.
