You an use kdenliv if you run an open source machine. If in Windows I guess Shotcut is not that bad.. Never use it before but u can try it yourself by download it at shotcut.org/download/

Depending on your needs. If what you're looking for is video editing software that easier and quicker than Camtasia, then I think you should to try Powerpoint, preferably Powerpoint 365 because it has good transition called "Morph" which very useful creating wonderful video easily.

Camtasia (I use since version 6) is really good but mostly to show people a product like what they get inside the member area or to teach a software.

Otherwise, you have better, faster and funnier ways to create marketing videos for YouTube.

• PowerPoint( modify a template and save it as mp4 file)
• Instant Video Wizard (by Jonathan Leger)
• Content Samurai (by the team of Market Samurai)
  

Instant Video Wizard and Content Samurai aren't free softwares
(while you can easily get a PowerPoint trial version that never expires...)
but if you create lots of videos for yourself or clients you will recover your investment really fast.

BTW I currently use Content Samurai every week and I am going to add Instant Video Wizard to my arsenal.

I used Powerpoint and Filmora. So far happy with both.
I also have Camtasia and Fleeq.
