RE: [REQ] WpEasyClone
I always wonder if this type of plugin does ALL that it claims to - especially for any site using addons that require activations.
So, if this is like the others, it may clone everything to a new host or domain - but only without the activations needed.
There is no way to know unless one tries that test.

For the Unlimited license at $24.95 with Agency Right Included - IF it does all it claims it is a very good deal indeed - maybe worth buying and sharing or even a GB ???

Aside of the above, it is sold via W+ and it does have a money back policy.

What puts me off though is the 10 wonky bonuses, price scarcity tactic as well as the trumped up (fake ??) money shots that too many IMers use to get folks excited.

Backing up and/or cloning sites is NOT supposed to be exciting...it is merely a needed and important function.

Question:
Has anyone here tried this out yet to see if it actually does all that it claims to ??
Thanks

PS:
I have queried them about plugins with activations and will post back here if/when they reply.

RE: [REQ] WpEasyClone
it copies the whole wp site but if you have any folders and files outside the default wp directories - you have to manually copy them...

Thanks for adding that Netrom !!
(+Rep added, as always.)

What really concerns me is add-on activations?!?
There are many tools to clone/copy WP sites - but THIS one says it does it ALL, which to me means an exact, ready to use clone at another host and/or domain.
I contacted them a day ago asking this, and no reply has come.

I had the same reaction, but can forgive over-the-top marketing pitches if something performs as it is supposed to. However, it's a moot point (for now). I intended to buy this but didn't get around to it until today, and today the web page says "The Product Is No More Available
All The Licenses Are Sold Out!"

Whatever that really means and for however long that lasts. I have seldom hesitated long enough to lose out on a "deal" and lived to regret it, so I'll take it as a sign from the Universe...

Only reason I was even considering is because WP Twin failed me for the second time in several years. It's my most reliable backup tool, and I've had more problems with others, but I figured one can never back up too much. From the demo, it appeared to work in localhost, which WP Twin does not.

RE: [REQ] WpEasyClone
Thanks for that great info Rocky12 !!!

Now I seriously must wonder how such a closure would be possible - unless they had duped someone else's product and got busted for it ??
No matter the reason behind this closure - it seems 100x as shady now.

Finally - curious to know 2 things:
Which backup tools besides WP Twin have you used that were the best in your opinion ??
If you actually bought WP Twin ??
Thanks
(+Rep added, of course.)

PS:
Last share here was in 2016 and VIP for WP Twin v3.5.8, no live links anymore.

My presumption (never a good idea) was that they either had reports of problems with the software, or, it was a marketing strategy to re-launch at a higher price. Who knows. Good riddance!

As to WPTwin ... v3.5.8 is the last version. I actually bought it twice - the second time was an authorized promo through someone else at a very low price (don't remember what) with some extra bonus goodies that were supposed to make it easier to use. Except they don't seem to work. Oh well.

So far I have used All-In-One-WP-Migration with mostly success. Doesn't seem to like very large files.

The Easy WP Localhost Migrator has worked well nearly every time (thankfully got that here; current sales price too rich for my blood).

Duplicator has been so-so. Worked well enough for smaller files but I would not trust it as my sole backup source.

Backup Buddy has been a total mess for me. I can create the db and follow all the directions, but some of the backup files just won't go up on some of the hosts some of the time. I spent way too much time dealing with that one. Seems to work for everybody else so I guess it's just me.

I used WP Clone a couple times and it went OK, but haven't used it enough or on big enough sites to comment.

Hope that helps!

RE: [REQ] WpEasyClone
Thanks again Rocky12 !!
I did some testing of my own with 2-3 different tools and at least 1 of those was terrible, but it was long enough ago by now that I don't remember my exact results.

The biggest concern with migration was with activations; it sort of defeats the purpose of a true migration to a different host or domain if you have to go through re-activations of all the addons.

I do think it is funny that I emailed those guys - got no reply - and then right after -POOF- gone !!
