REQ: Paul Coleman query, please ??

Hello Folks.
I've been going through all the stuff by him that has come from BBHF, and he repeatedly mentions getting on his email list - which is automatic -IF- you've bought from him. (I haven't though...)

So my query is a sort of 2 parter=>
- Is there some easy and direct way to get on his list WITHOUT PAYING, or;
- Does he sell anything for ~$10 or less rather than his usual 17.97 prices.

I searched a bit in hopes of finding a freebie from him, but no joy there, sadly.

Hi - I see what you mean: I couldn't find an easy way. You could try writing to him direct and asking: paul@authoradvent.com, or sign up as an affiliate on W+.
His products all seem to be priced at $17.97. But once you get to be an affiliate, you can access his products for review ;)

I took your suggestion and emailed to ask.

The reply came pretty quickly - very obviously from outsourced help with poor english skills.
They didn't tell me in that reply - so I asked again IF they has put me on their list which got me a 1 word reply...yes.

So now I'll watch to see what may come from there.

Lumos, can I ask what question did you ask to confirm you were on his mailing list? Did they ask what product you had bought or just confirmed you were on the list... Thanks in advance

I told them I found the latest item of interest but had not bought it.

My goal was just getting onto their list.

Surprising to me that they don't try harder to get folks on it BEFORE buying !!

I know this is an old thread, yet I decided to post this here in the hopes that Lumos will see it. I could have sent a PM but there may be others here who can use this advice. I'm not certain it is the solution you seek but it can help you to find more of his stuff, if that's what you want.

I'm here to share a freebie that was offered on Coleman's website but got an error instead saying the mailing list is not being monitored or maintained...

It could simply be that he's using a new email client and has already transferred his list there; but I'm here to tell you that you can't opt-in to his list from the authoradvent.com website. He also owns bookpumper.com but I haven't tried that site yet.

First, here's the share...but stay tuned for advice on how you can find more of his products with a simple web search (until, perhaps, he shuts access down).

Here's help...

You can still find many of Paul Coleman's PDFs shared right here on BBHF. Just do a thread search using his name and browse for the titles for what you want.

Some links may have stopped working by the time you hit the thread, but don't despair...I've got more advice below.

IMAGINE --- Instead of posting for re-ups and waiting for someone to help, you could be downloading the files, instead!

If all else fails, turn to the search engines...

Whether you use Bing, Google, or some other browser, the results should be pretty much the same. However, in the example below, I used Google.

STEP 1: Search with these keywords:

Focus on links that go to the Author Advent (authoradvent.com) website.

Here's an example of my page one search results (to show you that this works):

STEP 2: Browse the links that show PDF beside them (see the little gray tags that read PDF in my image above). Get as many of his booklets as you like as a direct download!

HINT: Generally, you can check the first few pages of search results before the links run dry.

But here's another way:

He provides free downloads to affiliates who want to post a review to help sell his stuff.

The search results that include the word review in the link all go to a download page where affiliates can freely grab the PDF (as well as links to help affiliates sign up on Warrior+ and an upsell review copy, if that applies to a particular title).

Here's an example of what that page looks like for his Digital Rapid Royalties product. There is a page like this for most of his products.

The first link (see red arrow) is where you get the download.

STEP 3: (Just for convenience) You may want to rename the downloaded files to make them better identifiable for when you need to read them because the original names used in the links aren't very useful.

LONG-STORY-SHORT: Sounds like you found the contact information although the response you got wasn't much help. But it seems the opt-in list on his Author Advent site is no longer accepting sign-ups.

Presently I'm reveling in my retired status and have loads of house and domestic stuff to occupy me anytime I wish to attend to those things.

One of my projects is actually to (slowly, but surely) delete most of my IM?MMO stuff as I know I'll never use it.
