[REQ] Gilbert Mizrahi - Unlocking the Secrets of Prompt Engineering PDF
So I have the epub of this book. BUT...
Unfortunately, the formatting is poor and some of the prompts/content is unreadable in Calibre (I've also tried on a Chrome ext and a mobile app). The publishers offer a free pdf version but you need a receipt: Code: https://download.packt.com/free-ebook/9781835083833 Anyone know how to fake a receipt and snag the PDF? Or another option? The epub is here: Code: https://mir.cr/1TA6ZKF4 Thanks |

Because 1) the font is incredibly tiny and 2) the prompt examples are still messed up (mostly cut-off and incomplete) eg. the prompts in Examples on page 18. I even tried converting the epub to plain text and while most of the discussion is readable, the text is a bit all over the place when it comes to the examples - which makes the book somewhat useless. Would be super grateful if anyone can help with the original. Thanks. |

Hey try this version below. Still epub, maybe try it in SumatraPDF (freeware, works very well for me on Windows). I skimmed and it looks intact, examples seem complete and readable, formatting looks ok to me as well. Was compressed with epub optimizer, which made a few of the images smaller, but still readable on my desktop, even with old eyes...

RE: [REQ] Gilbert Mizrahi - Unlocking the Secrets of Prompt Engineering PDF
THANK YOU Mongo.
Skimmed this and it looks great - there's some odd spacing but importantly the prompts/examples I checked are very readable. So thanks. I didn't realize optimizing could do this. Can I ask how you performed this "wizardry"? Is it part of SumatraPDF? Google search for epub optimizer threw up this site: https://www.onlineconverter.com/compress-epub and https://ebookcompressor.com/ Plus a handful of scripts/apps. Be great to know how you did this in case I come across this in the future. Sent you some reps for your effort. Much appreciated. BM PS. went down a quick rabbit hole on optimizers and stumbled onto this free app (https://papas-best.com/optimizer_en) which says it will optimize multiple file types... might be a useful tool to have if you have need of one (Windows only. A VirusTotal check on the download link says it's clean). (03-28-2024 10:01 PM)MongoSmash Wrote: Hey try this version below.
