These "books" are crap. They have a short intro, then ask ten simple. multiple choice questions, and conclude with a simple grading scale to show how much of a so-called expert you are. Embarrassing.

According to the JV page, the funnel is as follows:

The front-end price is $17 at a 50% commission.

The OTO1 gives access to other two niches, and ore traffic strategies. It sells for $27 at a 50% commission.

OTO2 gives your customers access to three ebooks we created for them, at $27 and always at a 50% commission.

OTO3 is a set of two ebooks about Kindle publishing that come with Private Label Rights. The cost will be $47 at 50% commissions.

Finally, there's the OTO4 that is my Self-Publishing Kingdom course, selling for $297 at 50% commissions.

With a bit of detective work I came across this author (not me!)

The thing to note is that this person has sold a ton of short quiz books.
This one is noteworthy:

..because despite a MASSIVE typo on the cover, it has a 4 star average rating with 294 reviews, meaning it has probably sold in excess of 1k copies at $0.99. It has a BSR of 19,100, which will be generating around 12 - 15 sales a day on autopilot.

You don't need to buy Alessandro's book - a bit of research reveals the big idea and there's probably money to be made in this niche if you can come up with something creative.

$0.99 = a royalty of $0.35 (35%) if the buyer doesn't pay EU/UK VAT or $0.29 if they do.

Lets be generous and assume he didn't use Amazon's paid ad platform, pay for reviews etc then all his sale from those 1k copies at $0.99 only net him between $290-350... which you still have to pay tax on

And that's his best selling book! Most of them don't sell anywhere nearly as well.

Really good point: you can't make much selling at 99c. But to be fair to the author (not Zamboni), there are two other books with a similar volume, so in a good month there's maybe $1k income.

Ultimately, to make a business out of this, you either create more content per book and sell for a higher price ($2.99 or more for 70% royalties) or create more small books that you have to sell in large volumes.

Or, how about this for an idea: you create a WSO that you sell for $17+ with 95% royalties that explains how to make untold riches selling 6 page ebooks?

Would still like to see it, but you're probably right that the author found a kdp niche that can make some money and decided to capitalize on it by making a course to make better money.
