Why not turkey for example then?

Ukraine and Turkey will never become parts of the West, for different reasons obviously...Ukraine is a part of Russia actually, as it always was a part of the Russian Empire...I don't know an era that was not...Whom belongs to? To the Huns? To the Mongols? I really cannot remember what was this territory before the Russians...On the other hand, Turkey will be 97 million people in the next decade, making them the biggest Country in Europe, and that's why they will never get accepted in E.U. It's the US, right?

1. US Dollar will flow back to the US (due to instability in the EU), this will help to solve inflation issue caused by the US Debt/ Unlimited Qe, and indirectly boost the US economy (big winner = US / big loser = EU)
2. Make China in a difficult position, as both Russia and Ukraine are China's best friends (big winner = US / big loser = China)
3. Russia supply 48% of energy (especially gas) to Europe. It's a good opportunity to replace it with US suppliers (even though the costs are higher, and probably will cause an electricity tariff hike in the EU (big winner = US / big loser = EU and Russia)
4. Infrastructure damage caused by the war (big loser = Ukraine)
5. Economy damage caused by the war (big loser = Ukraine, Russia and EU)

etc ...

Biden will not turn on our energy supply engine. He has made it clear to be the President that transform away from it. (He beholding to the climate activists that got him elected). He has cancelled pipe line after pipeline here in the US. Cancelled drilling leases and turned down the flow fossil fuels. The American people are screaming about high gas prices and inflation and Biden blames it on everyone else but his policies. I sure miss those mean tweets!!!!

The dull American position, declaring no intervention unless a NATO member country was attacked, and sending only a few thousand soldiers to Germany to reassure the concerns of European allies, is a tacit warning to Russia to move forward with its mission to bring down the Kiev government.

RE: Putins war against Ukraine?
It is a very complex issue and not something that started just a few weeks ago. Really, it is about strategy, security, and money.

This is a good video that explains a lot of what is really going on. It has a commercial at the start and at the end, but, just get through the first sections until the narrator gets in to the real details. It is eye opening about why Putin is desperate to grab and control Ukraine.

Cheers,

G.S.

RE: Putins war against Ukraine?
Maybe the EU now sees it wasn't such a good idea to scrap their safe and cheap nuclear power plants for the volatile energy they have to get from Russia or the Middle East Countries.

I doubt they will be getting any energy from the USA since our incompetent, brain addled and senile President has shut down our oil fields and pipelines (increasing our gas prices, inflation and letting dictatorships like Russia and Middle Eastern Countries to profit without any competition) to kowtow to the absolutely ridiculous, unscientific and false man-made global warming political zealots. The same morons that scream the Earth will end in 11 years (as per AOC, Greta and other Green Socialist fanatic's) were the same types of people protesting against nuclear power plants that give off practically zero carbon emissions (their supposed holy grail of Earth ending gasses).

Putin's invasion didn't go as fast as they had planned/predicted and it seems his military isn't the fighting force it's cracked up to be. The Ukraine is putting up a good defense and is actually doing the fighting themselves in order to protect their homeland....good for them. I think we will see the same thing from the Taiwanese if China decides to try their luck with invading that sovereign island nation.

RE: Putins war against Ukraine?
My heart goes out to all the innocent lives lost in this shit show. Like GS mentioned, this is a very complex issue and it saddens me seeing the majority around the world are not fully understanding what is really going on. They are just taking it at face value and proceeds to take sides. We have the blue team supporters, the ones swallowing whole the nato/west narrative (#pRaY4uKrAiNe) and we have the red team supporters, the ones munching on the russia/putin and allies narrative.

I for one am refusing to participate. It's like which half of a shit sandwich would I like to bite on, um no thank you please. It's just a power grab what both sides/powers wants all of us get sucked in unwittingly. Both wants their own version of the new world order. Again no thanks. It's also no different from the covid game board. The Us vs them, either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists rhetoric. Either you are a Pro-science/vaxx or you are Anti-science/vaxx.

Both end goals are the same in my opinion, I mean just look at all the countries falling in line with all the covid regulations and restrictions nonsense. It was no all no different whether you are in the blue team countries, or the red team countries. So yeah that's my take on the situation. It just pains me that real innocent lives are and will be taken unnecessarily in this shit show of a game orchestrated by psychotic leaders and those in power, be it the front men or those hiding behind the scenes.
