You still missunderstand, GeneratePress is freemium product, GeneratePress theme is totally free, and premium is GeneratePress Premium plugin, it's a plugin to extend features for GeneratePress theme.
I bought many GeneratePress premium accounts to build websites for my clients, and I sure the latest version of GeneratePress premium still 1.8.3, with link in the firstpost, GeneratePress premium not have any update version recently.
