Nice marketing, I should say. Yoga is an ancient Indian concept created by Sage Pathanjali who lived more than 5000 to 10000 years ago. And to mix that with Christianity, which is just 2000+ years old is some creative genius, I should say.

lol.. what kind of yoga is this.. its true that jesus was a kriya yogi and learned yoga from india.. that doesnt meant jesus invented yoga :-D

Seriously it should be called narrow minded yoga. What is christian about yoga anyway. Any human can practice yoga and get the benefit out of it. I wonder why the spiritual Yogi's of india from whom the yoga originated, decided not to call it hindu yoga. May be because they have transcended above the narrow religious mindset.

"what's christian about yoga anyway?" ... actually nothing. This is not a yoga bash or anyone's beliefs bash, just an observation.
The root of yoga is to empty one's mind and be one with the universe right? Alternately, the root of being a Christian is not to empty one's mind but to keep sober, alert and meditate of God's word daily. By applying the label "Christian Yoga" people that are of the religious belief called "Christianity" are deceived into believing that practicing yoga is okay for them, when clearly the scriptures say otherwise. |

this just hit me.. maybe we all got it wrong.. The course name is : New Christian YOGA (Yes Our God Is Awesome) YOGA probably here is an acronym for Yes Our God Awesome Y(es) O(ur) G(od) A(wesome) ...maybe that's what the instructor was trying to convey :P lol :D :D |
