My Response to- "Is There A Way to Make Money without Working?

Ok, I guess I got a little hot under the collar when I read this thread here at our Beloved BBHF-

Here's the thread-

SO this is someone, whether serious or not we don't know, but actually had the GALL to ask "Is there a way to make money without working?" Now does this bother anybody but me?

You might as well have asked, Was there any way that a country as free and great as America could have been created without sacrifice, effort, stress, and risk?

I'm not going to stand up on my soapbox here, but we all really need to ask ourselves, is THIS where we have come? Where people, want, hope, or EXPECT to have wealth, abundance, financial freedom, TRUE FREEDOM just handed to them?

Freedom has never been free, and in reality it also has never been CHEAP- It has ALWAYS come at a COST-

I like the way Jim Rohn said it- Something to the effect of- "We are all going to experience one of two kinds of pain in our lives, and we need to decide which one we will experience...

"Either we will all experience the pain of DISCIPLINE, which occurs for a short, limited period of time (to reach our goals)...or we will experience the pain of REGRET, which can and will last our lifetimes..."

And then I added this in the thread, which I thought was worth repeating here so as to not get lost in obscurity- Here it is:


OK I'm going to bite- I don't know how or where you were raised, so there is no judgment here- But if you are TRULY looking for a completely "no effort" way to feed and support yourself, let alone a family if you ever have the motivation to find a wife and consummate the marriage with her to have kids, ALL I can do is steer you to the #1 best-selling book in history (no not from Stephen King or J.K. Rowling)

It is the Holy Bible, and I am NOT here to push any religion on anybody, but this is what the Bible says- Unfortunately, I think it might describe you-

Proverbs 26:14: Like a door that swings around on its hinges, so the lazy man turns on his bed.

Proverbs 26:15: A lazy person puts his fork in his food. He wears himself out as he brings it back to his mouth.

Or:

A sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth.

PLEASE don't ever get THAT lazy!

And I will NOT leave you with no solution to your infectious laziness- PLEASE read this simple little book- It will definitely BUILD THAT FIRE back into you again! It's called "The Warrior's Mindset," and you DEFINITELY need it!

Not much I can add except my observation that, being in my mid-50s, this country (the United States) has changed tremendously in my lifetime. And mostly for the worse.

But it's not just in the U.S.

I day trade and teach others how. I can tell you those getting into the markets actually expect me to reveal a secret that will allow them to sit on their butts, put little to no effort into it, and have money pour from their computers whenever they want. Oh . . . and they want it for FREE! They are pissed at having to pay me anything for my knowledge -- knowledge that took me decades and tons of lost $$$ to accumulate. Many won't do the simplest work -- even when I sit there and show them how they can make $Thousands most mornings! They want it handed to them.

Maybe we are actually living in the End Times. Maybe it's just a society phase and will self-correct. Either way, I'm glad you saw it and posted what you did!

Hey EuroTrader-

I hear what you're saying- It just seems that it's part of our life that one of the areas we have to overcome and master (for most people anyway) is this thing called "money," or put another way, providing for ourselves- I remember someone once pointing out, that although there are plenty of worms all over the place, the birds still have to actually get out of their nest and fly around to get them- The worms don't just drop out of the sky into the nests-

I also know someone who trades stock options daily, or he at least is monitoring them daily- He says some weeks he'll "win" a few days, then "lose" a few days, and he'll basically break even after all that stress and "work-" Other weeks of course he'll do very well and he supports his family well, but he's made it clear that trading stock options, at least for him, is a "stressful," but profitable, way to make a living-

I think we all know by now why "Internet Marketing" continues to bring in thousands or tens of thousands of newbies every week, month, or whatever- It's the dream of the "push-button" riches, which, if set up right and worked at for a period of time (building your list, nurturing your list, prospecting and marketing well in an efficient and cost-effective manner) CAN eventually achieve the push-button riches-

But it's something you have to BUILD UP to, which yes, requires TIME, THOUGHT, and EFFORT...Something it seems less and less people are willing to exchange for, as I said, FREEDOM- Oh well, more fruit on the money tree for the rest of us willing to put in the elbow grease!

Having read the post referred to here, I have wondered if it is possible that the OP there was just so poorly spoken as to have even screwed up his query ??

I've spent countless hours examining the IM realm for months now, and my summation thus far is that it just bristles with BS - and that goes 10x IMO when it comes to WSOs especially - as well as most BSOs - and even a great many of the GBs;
Too much glitzy glamour claims, but just more ways to get folks to SPEND and BUY.

If that is the ONLY goal of the sellers - OK - but it is NOT helpful for real folks who actually ARE willing to work at something that DOES produce results somehow.

As a veteran of several careers in which I always worked 6-7 days each week and at employments often around 80 hours/week - then during decades of self-employment even more hours than that - work does not scare me at all, BUT:
As an old guy with health concerns it will be grand to find what I may be able to succeed at whilst doing something more sedentary as most jobs are just plain out of my reach.

Sure, there are definitely folks who are just CERTAIN they'll have glamourous lives with megabucks on hand by just pressing a few buttons - and they can buy all that hooey.

Then there are also folks similar to myself who just want to make some decent earnings by pursuing activities that are within reach.

BTW - I've said this elsewhere - there are multiple meanings to the word 'lazy', one of which actually implies genius, whereas most folks think that word is exactly the same as 'slothful' - which is incorrect, though it IS used synonymously all the time.
