Hello tacos4san,
I just buy your BSO, but seemly I don't understand your way clearly when you said to create 3-5 templates to give away, that means we must design on my own? Or I can use some of Divi's child themes?
When they place an order, we will ask them to buy a domain and hosting from your site and then give u these info, so you can log in and install WordPress site like the template they have chosen? Or you build a website where they can create a subdomain and design their site as they wish? Like https://www.simplesite.com ?

I'll try to answer. I'm having a bit of trouble following you.

"create 3 to 5 templates to give away" doesn't mean to CREATE 3 to 5 templates. It means that you should have 3 to 5 designs ready to go. Where you got them from doesn't matter. You could have built them. You could have bought them. You could have out sourced them. HOW doesn't matter. You just need them. You may be over thinking a little bit.

As to the second part... I'm really struggling with what you are asking. This is my best attempt to answer what I THINK you're after...

1. You offer a free web site, in exchange for the customer hosting the site with you.
2. They request their site and pay for hosting.
3. You build/deliver the site.
4. You follow up with the customer and sell them additional services.

+rep for super solid base advice for people. I tried 2 seperate times to sustain a web design business and both times with a partner. Both times the partner pulled out because of the types of customers, workflows being difficult, and our own inexperience. The first time was a year down the drain and the second time was only 6 months. Looking at the info you put out, we could have done so much better with just 3 of those items.

A. You're welcome.

B. Perhaps you should give it one more go now that you're armed with this.

Due to the country I am from being close to civil war daily, and the industry I work in most likely going to fail from that civil/government fall out, I have been considering my options. I haven't fully worked in internet marketing/web design/graphic design in a couple years (just a touch here and there) so just coming back to BBHF is my start in the thought process of getting back into something to make a more mobile income.

I have been thinking along these lines, e.g. web design company. But this time I will immediately forget the partner, and build everything on paper before stepping out into anything. By now, this is probably a saturated market as well, but businesses pop up every day, so it can't really have an end to clients. If saturating markets were a real problem, there wouldn't be 10k different burger joints in every major city in the USA.

I mean, its a burger... meat, buns, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayonnaise, some random secret (but not secret) sauce... Yet there are different ones even in the same shopping center. Go to a mall food court, bam 4 burger places, 2 asian food places, and 2 taco spots.. all competitors... so if you can still make money in that saturated of a market, you should with this one as well I assume.

I have to really sit back and think about whether or not its the way I want to go though.. I kind of burned out on it, so this time, I will have to study up, look at changes, and go for broke.

Or I can go with another type of business, bang it out, make it happen and maybe revisit this later. I am not sure yet.

Host wherever you want. It doesn't and won't change the process. I personally use and recommend Siteground's cloud hosting. Although, I have been considering migrating all of my clients over to Cloudways at some point.

In the end though, it really doesn't matter. Find a reputable and reliable host that YOU TRUST and then let your clients benefit from it.
