Email from vendor... Good Evening, I titled this email Christmas cracker for a very good reason as I have just been casting my eye over something that was actually sent to me by a fellow professional backer who I think may just be on to something. The gentleman involved is not a big fish by any means and rarely strays above £200 (£100 EW) on a bet, however what has has sent me is so simple it is almost ridiculous but what it does is make him a lot of money for modest stakes. I initially did not take a great deal of notice as it involved almost zero form study which I obviously pay a lot of attention to in handicaps, however he sent me a follow up email asking if I was impressed with the results. This prompted me to take another look and I dug out my old Racing Posts going back to November 21st and could not believe the prices of these bets coming up and instantly jumped on the amount of placed horses as a potential lucrative income stream. The figures are since November 21st to last Saturday. 43 bets. 12 won at 8-1, 9-2, 6-1, 10-1, 6-1, 7-1, 10-1, 11-4, 10-1, 8-1, 7-1, 4-1 23 placed at 8-1, 9-1, 11-1, 4-1, 17-2, 4-1, 12-1, 8-1, 10-1, 10-1, 7-1, 12-1, 7-1, 7-1, 6-1, 8-1, 7-1, 7-1, 3-1, 11-1, 11-2, 9-2, 5-1. 8 unplaced. These prices lend themselves very much to betfair SP so I spent yesterday going through the win and place SP on Betfair of all these horses and it was at that point I started to get excited with figures. To stakes of £100 win and £100 place at Betfair SP the profit on the above selections was £12981.00 profit. To stakes of £100 place only at Betfair SP was £6377.00 profit. There are obviously a lot of selections as these figures are only from 21st November but the margins are ridiculous and having seen the potential I spent a couple of hours on Facetime with him yesterday to make sure I had got this absolutely right. It is so simple but when you see it then it does make so much sense and although we could never promote this to the general public for obvious reasons I have struck a deal on this. I have around 22 clients who would be interested in this and came to an arrangement where he will get a very nice Christmas present in exchange for me being able to promote this to my clients.
