[METHOD] Post Penguin SEO - #1 in 3 weeks (10k us local keyword)

This is what I am doing right now Post - Penguin

1. Unique HIGH Quality Content (Write for the readers, not the search engines, engage your readers if possible. User generated content is what Google loves right now.) .

2. Don't worry about on page SEO too much, just have the proper meta titles and descriptions, and rel=canonical.

There is no need to worry about other minor technicalities such as keyword density, font sizes, etc. Just keep in mind you're building a high quality site, gone are the days of pumping out low quality sites, autoblogs, or spun content just to fill a CPA offer - those sites will not rank in the long term.

Your sites should be quality enough, that users will click a Facebook Like, a Retweet, or a G+ themselves without using automation.

3. LINK BUILDING IS NOT DEAD. However what is needed now with link building is:

- Relevant Authority Links

- Contextual links (article talking about your website; not just your keyword)

- Anchor diversity (google suggest, and the keywords that show up in your GWT accounts are the BEST anchors to use, don't think too much about it, google thinks its relevant - it definitely is).

- Link Diversity (You need to make your links natural as possible, real users back linking can come from any where, any country, back link to your website from any platform site, even plain HTML website from 1997, or a website they put up yesterday with no PR and no backlinks; and their link anchors will always be different, even with spelling errors, or different capitalization.

4. Think Different. Stop thinking like an internet marketer and an average web user when building backlinks. Ask your teenage daughter who thinks the internet is Facebook&Youtube on how she'll share a website to friends.

- Social Signals - NEVER STOP. Just as you can't stop building links ever, you can't stop getting FB likes/shares Retweets G+s or whatever else that comes up.

# of backlinks, # of visitors (click through from G), and # of social signals should increase with time. if you stop, the "unnaturalness" starts.

What type of links to get ?
1. Web2.0 (Make them natural, keep updating them, don't just use them for back linking, promote them; build backlinks to them, get them some social signals etc.)

2. Doc Sharing Sites

3. Wiki Sites (High authority ones only, not the spammy stuff; eventually an update will hit the spam).

4. VDO Sharing sites - youtube/dailymotion/vimeo etc.

5. Social Bookmarks (high authority real ones, not spammy ones, they will get hit with an update eventually).


Don't try to create any kind of identifiable pattern. (Eg. build links only on specific days of the week to you site)

Randomness and Chaos is link building and social media sharing will look most natural.


Automated SEO isn't dead, it just has evolved. Unlearn the stuff that no longer works, and learn new ones.
