No.

I'm not sure where you are getting any scam ideas, nor call center, nor magic software.

I didn't say any of that anywhere and I'm not sure how you are assuming that.

It's not a call center, there isn't anyone but myself on my end.

Anyone who marketed IT services could be contracting more than one tech, but that still wouldn't qualify as a call center.

There's no subscriptions to any software because people usually aren't looking for a software when they need IT services.

In any case if there were some magic software that could set up rollover and redundancy for every type of firewall in existence, then it probably wouldn't do a good job in any case.

In this case, I am sorry. I misunderstood. Good luck in the business.

hmmmm i may be interested in turning this in to a real jv with exclusive rights for individual customers and emergency services(aside from the contracts you already have with companies so you can still get paid and any jv you want to do with someone that wants to deal with company contracts) to your services where we start small and grow. it would be the only thing that makes sense as i wouldn't be able to determine your work load any other way.

i am curious what smithnowt thinks or has to say. he seemed to be interested

still trying to think how this would work but i have some ideas. can you pm me what your hourly would be and give me an example of how long it would take(best guess) to clean 1 computer of malware/spyware and if you have diagnostic software?

you've answered my concerns so far. i don't know if i want to commit to something like this though unless someone goes in on this with me where we can work on building an actual brand online. and if it's feasible in the future and long run, promote to local businesses(better service, cheaper price) or local self employed contractors who are already selling a service and advertising it and is either has to turn away customers or outsource.

also, you would have to be flexible in pricing where instead of a fixed hourly or monthly, but also a fixed bundle package and possibly even a free diagnostics run or some simple free service to get people in the door.

Will send you a PM in just a moment.

I definitely understand regarding narrowing down to focus on specific customers/services.

Technically, if it was a brand online, it could focus solely on small business or focus on work at home folks, depending where the demand is.

But that's just an assumption.

I have a domain for a brand, but I have yet to even think of doing anything with it. I had some ideas, incorporating a booking system, client backend, so on. Just haven't gone near it because I'm crap at marketing.

My own pricing per hour is low enough that any flexible pricing or packages you offer would fit.

The current freelance I do is constant bidding against other folks, so working with someone here would allow me to focus instead of constantly fighting for projects.

got your pm and responded to it. i would really like to take on a partner though with jv. i think it's a really good opportunity for another income stream personally. i'm not in this niche as i am in the mmo niche but i see the potential in this if someone wants to work with me on it to send sales your way.

if anyone is interested in partnering with me they can pm me. i would run the project and how to market. i would do the seo side of things and be responsible for the financials. the other person would help with creating and building a website and posting and possibly creating youtube videos on a dedicated channel to get initial traffic coming in while there is a waiting period for seo to kick in. only requirement other than the above would be good english(reading, writing, voice that is very easily understandable(no hard accents))

so that is where i am at right now.

Hi folks,

We are looking for another person to partner up and focus on the WordPress end and video development.

Knowledge of site soloing, configuring plugins, optimizing images, optimizing site speed, and so on is a plus but not necessary.

I personally have experience in WordPress and on site SEO but with time, as clients come in I wouldn't be able to do that work as I would be busy.

I also focus on actually working now, so working on the site myself with California Kid would take away from the only income I have. Lol.

I have been focusing on bidding and winning minor jobs on upwork so I hadn't had much time. However, if you want to help out, California Kid is looking for someone to help with the website side of things

RE: Looking For Partners – Remote Tech Support - Serious Only
I ran this type of business here in India where we were running google and bing campaigns initially and we used to get a lot of calls daily as our daily budget spend was more than $300. Each call was around $8-$10 and we were running campaigns for lets say Blue screen on computer, Avast antivirus support. computer not starting etc etc.
Those were good old days and we made a lot of money and then Google and bing started banning these kind of campaigns as there were many scammers around and there were very high chargebacks by customers who actually used to forget many times that they paid for this service.

The we stated doing Pop ups in different websites and still used to get a lot of calls. Finally shut it down in 2016 because the calls were getting expensive and 2 of my payment gateways got freezed in USA coz of chargebacks by customers.
We did everything legally and actually helped a lot of people but then finally had to say goodbye to the business.

RE: Looking For Partners – Remote Tech Support - Serious Only
sounds like you guys made a lot of mistakes and couldn't adapt to the changes. chargeback i can see as killer in marketing. when they start coming in, it's just a sign that things need to change and change fast. sounds like you grew way too fast for your own good and one things stopped working you needed a way to get the business back to continue getting the income you were accustomed. the solution is what nobody wants to do but needs to do and that is to scale back then identify the problems and figure out the solutions. once you lose your payment gateways you are fucked unless you take on another partner. that's a hard ass lesson right there. it didn't have to end though. all you needed to do was stop marketing and scale back and figure shit out and then come back to these companies to explain what happened and how you fixed the problem. chargebacks are also a sign of shady practices whether intentional or not. people refuse to refund and they get a shit ton of chargebacks. sounds like you had a subscription service with recurring payments so that is actually interesting to know that in this niche. people also use false advertising or marketing that is vague which can cause chargebacks as well. hell, some even trick people in to signing up for something recurring without people's knowledge for whatever reason or it's in the fine print.

difference here though is that this is one guy for now and someone who doesn't want to deal with the marketing but this is something good to be aware of when planning to get someone to do that end of things. people have to be on the up and up or shit goes backwards FAST
