If you have access to high speed internet, check into getting a VOIP phone number. You can even get a dongle to use the phone while you are traveling as long as you have high speed internet.
companies like vonage, etc. I have a friend in Colombia who has a Miami number that rings in his office there. |

I have an unlimited plan to about 60 countries for ~ $55 USD. There are less expensive plans.
