HELP against unfair competition
Hey guys,
I don't know if this is the right section and/or the right way to post this "problem" we're facing but an unfair competitor is highly damaging our business. We work in Italy and are a small school that delivers courses to private and public companies. 2 people attended one of our master classes 2 yrs ago. During the course they gave us feedbacks with top marks. After the course, they called us saying that they wanted their money back OR the would have posted on the web lots of rubbish about us. We did nothing simply because we cannot respect that kind of behaviour. After 1 month they started organizing SAME classes, advertising copycat materials. Moreover, they opened a blog, made SEO in it, and started saying FALSE things about our teachers etc. They created fake users etc etc. This is really UNFAIR. You know, competition is a good way to improve but FAIR competition not haste. Is there anyone here, that can tell me what to do with those BAD GUYS??? Please contact me in private. We have called an attorney, a SEO expert but we think that MORE have to be done. Thanks A LOT for your kind help and suggestions |

RE: HELP against unfair competition
Use Google´s disavow tool to devalue bad links, contact Google and ask them to remove slanderous links, try the same with Bing, contact every single hoster where the copied content is hosted and file a DMCA complaint, the same can be done for Youtube videos. Get a lawyer and try to sue them wherever you can. You could also try filing a case with WIPO, but those usually deal with trademark infringement and I am absolutely not sure if they can help you. Legally, you might have a chance to sue them but that also depends on how similar their copied websites are. But I´d definitely disavow everything problematic and send complaints to every single hoster that hosts slanderous content. No matter if blogs or selfhosted websites. And make screenshots of everything in case you have to prove it in court. If you even want to go there.

RE: HELP against unfair competition
We are evaluating to proceed legally BUT the procedures are very slow. At the moment we're looking for ways to push those unfair, illegal, awful comments down in the Google pages.
We've made screenshots of everything. Is there anyone that knows some blackhat methods to help us? I can guarantee that me and my collaborators will be very grateful. We're loosing the pleasure of doing what we do everyday. |
