[HELP] Adwords Competition Vs SEO Competition

Hi, people.

Please Someone who know a really good reputable article (moz, SEJ SEngineLand, etc...) that explain VERY clear the difference between adwords competition, and SEO "organic" results competition.

Something like "The column in the kw planner that say competition say high but it is not at all with the organic results"

Hi Sambit, in Adwords high keyword competition means that there are alot of people/businesses bidding on that keyword at the same time and as a result the bid price for those keywords is also high. The more targeted the keyword is usually means you will be paying much more per click.

In SEO, its the same thing ... high competition keywords basically are the keywords that alot of people are trying to rank for. The more targeted the keyword usually means the more difficult it is going to rank. You just have much more people that you are competing with.

But not all targeted terms are expensive or high competition. For example, seo is a high competition keyword in both adwords and the search engines and it is also a very targeted keyword. But, seo in los angeles is not as high of a competitive keyword because there is less people bidding and seo'ing for it.

They are totally different. Advertising competition refers to how many advertisers are bidding on the keyword within adwords. SEO competition is how difficult it would be to rank in the SERP's for the keyword.
