Getting all competitor backlinks
I'm looking for a tool, preferably free, that can get me the tens of thousands of backlinks that competitor websites have pointing to them. I know Ahrefs and Majestic can do it but it costs $80/month. So is there a free tool like maybe Samurai(if that's still free) that can do this for me?

RE:
No tool can give you ALL of their backlinks. Even the webmaster themselves, using the Google webmaster tool, can't get ALL of their backlinks! While it does show more than other sources, it only shows maybe 80-90% of all known backlinks. Webmaster tools only works on your own sites though too lol. No 1 software is going to give you nearly all of them, and you most certainly aren't going to get all of them for free. If you want to get a good idea of their backlinks, your going to need a few of the tools, and your going to have to pay for a least 1 of them!

There are some good tools out there, to get a good majority of them. Traffic Travis, OpenSiteExplorer, MarketSamuraii (I think), SEO SpyGlass, ect. Combine a few of them together using scrapebox, remove duplicates, ect. and you have a pretty complete list.

While these arent free methods... The real world isn't free. You need something of value, or a service, you gotta pay for it. That is just life, business, and just because it's the internet doesn't change that.

Don't be a cheapskate and scared to spend any money, that won't get you far in Business in general. Just be smart and make educated decisions on what you spend money on. Everyone around here is "trying" to make money online... The only ones that are, spend a good % of their income. Every "real world" business sets aside a % of their revenue on advertising. If I make $12k one month, I spend about 2k on advertising, then another % on outsourcing some crap I am either not good at, or don't have the time to do.

SEO spyglass was shared here for free here. I think samurai may have been too but SEO spyglass may still be shared free. Yeah 90% of the backlinks is OK with me, usually I spend money on fiverr gigs where people sell me ahrefs reports. I do spend money on tools like Xrumer and Zenno and buy captcha solving etc, but if I can get something for cheap/free then I'll take that.

RE:
SEO SpyGlass mentioned above uses it's own index plus WebMeUp's index

WebMeUp has the fastest growing index for now and they give a super good amount of backlinks (at least for my sites). What's more, it's FREE :) So you might want to try it.

They're in beta for now and it's not so clear hoe to get to that tool from their own website, so the direct link is http://webmeup.com/tools/backlinks.html

RE:
SpyGlass only give main page backlinks, if you need url backlinks go with Ahrefs, there is some one selling it in fiverr $5, for 7 reports, most of us only needs 20 wil get the job done.

RE:
Thanks for all the tips. I went and bought a majestic subscription it was only $49 but it's nice because it lets you download a lot. Unfortunately it only has 60 full reports a month but that's OK for $1 each lol.

I guess what I forgot to clarify is that I want to collect mainly the spammy links so I can put them through Xrumer afterwards. It's a quick way of collecting spammy links lists rather than scraping for hours and hours.
