check the mysql database if there is data inserted, if not try deleting everything again and running install one more time.

As sup3rman stated, try reinstall the script. If to no avail, try changing your php version to v5.6. If still no success, probably your hosting has restricted rules or doesn't meet the requirements for the script. It happened to me once. Installed successfully, but cannot post at all. All the function inside VTGram is useless due to the restrictions by my hosting for security reason. Duhhh...
