UPDATE:

I just thought I would add an addendum pertaining to my experience with this training.

It works just fine....

From a total ad spend of $411 (took me a week to get comfortable with the platform and all the buttons and pitfalls) I built a list of over 1700 in the IM niche. I've been promoting various jvz00 offerings and some of my own products; and to date have earned ~ $1300 after my ad spend.

Note: your mileage may vary.... Some of my sales were larger ticket products (in my book, the saving grace of selling via a list) that I was able to sell after a week or two of the list getting used to me.

Not to appear holy or anything, but I sent Brian Gonzalez and Mario full payment for the material. (Good Karma helps in this business.... IMO)

The process works.

Just hammer it home for a week and you'll find the gold of the method. And then, you can attack ANY niche you want.

The 21 year old in question is not really a newbie. He's been doing affiliate marketing for a couple of years..., but, he has finally gotten some huge breakout success with YouTube advertising.

He puts his own video on YouTube and sends cheap advertising to it, uses retargeting pixels - and has a landing page for emails and an offer after that to defray costs of the advertising.

Classic funnel idea with a few personal wrinkles.

The thing to take away from this course is --- it is the personal wrinkles that YOU introduce to the sales mix/funnel/process that makes your success better-than-average. Which is why there is such a saying such as "better than average".

The value of this course actually is very high because it lets you see into the mind of a new Young Turk (look up THAT definition on g00gle) who we are going to see more from in the future.

There are perfect opportunities to advertise on YouTube. The leads you get can be extremely targeted for your offer. You can start off with exactly the audience you want. People who are at YouTube have searched for something (at least one layer in for the winnowing process), unlike the majority of glazed over eyes on Facebook. And you're not paying for unnecessary clicks.

The author's comments on engagement are very welcome to see in a newer marketer.
