Writing without knowing where you're going makes for s----y fiction. That's a reader experience - not writing. Stories are told because there's a point to telling the story. Having a point means you know where you're going.

That's a stupid thing to say. It's how Stephan King, Lee Child, Dennis Lehane, George RR Martin, Dean, and countless others write.

its three kinds of writers. Plotters, Panzers, And those in between... His comment on writing shows ignorance.

It's not how King writes. You're mistaking discovering how to represent things along the way with not knowing where you're going.

No he says he is in On Writing. Lee Child, George RR Martin, Hemnigway, Poe...were all pantsers.

I just finished my first crome novel which my 7 figure author mentor, also a pantser, called very gifted writing. What are your bona fides?

And the author of the book stated is also a 7 figure pantser.

"Stephen King is a little more severe with his pro-pantsing philosophy: “Outlines are the last resource of bad fiction writers who wish to God they were writing masters’ theses.”
