RE:
Version is 2.1 and it works fine. I tried installing automatically via Wordpress but it wouldn't on my host (likely because it timed out due to the size - lots of graphics files). So the way to put it up is FTP the extracted marketer folder to your WP Contents plugins folder. Then enable it in Wordpress.
I think (not 100% sure) there are two versions of this plugin. One lets you do a single page only and one does multiple pages. This one appears to be the single page version. It's a bit of strange program in that you edit outside of your normal wordpress editor. I've seen a few tools like this (e.g. Authority Pro, which originally I liked but I've re-written everything I had done with AP now - it's not good for SEO and I wonder if this tool is the same) - they all seem to work outside the normal editor. I wish there were one that does what this tool does but just works within the normal Wordpress page editor. Anyone know of something like that. Thanks for the share, btw and reps added! |

RE:
A word of warning about this plugin (and maybe one of the reasons it's been upped to ver. 2.5 now). It uses a PHP script called timthumb.php which is generally used to resize images. Versions 1.09 to 1.35 have a vulnerability (unless patched) that allows an attacker to arbitrarily upload and create files and/or folders on your account, which can then be used for a number of malicious tasks, including but not limited to defacement, browser high-jacking and infection, data harvesting and more. After a site has been exploited, it may lead to becoming labeled a "Malicious Website" by Google or other security authorities.
You can replace timthumb.php with the newest version by visiting here: http://timthumb.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/timthumb.php If you want more insight into this vulnerability, you can go here: http://markmaunder.com/2011/08/01/zero-d...ss-themes/ http://redleg-redleg.blogspot.com/2011/0...secom.html |

TY, Caprock, for an outstanding heads-up review. I think I speak for all of us here. Especially the addition of the patch info. :-)
