I'm facing the same problem.
Checked xampp... works fine with no conflict on port 80
Checked hosts file (with Notepad++), configurations fine
Installed program, tried to launch and got error pointed out by saq2016
Uninstalled program and removed one instance from registry and reinstalled program
Copied patch in the installation folder, double clicked it and gave it permission to patch file (changed `Main' file size 2389 KB).
Tried running the program with/ without xampp but get same error
Replaced `Main' file by one supplied (changed `Main' file size 2391 KB) Still not working with/ without xampp

Any help appreciated.

Hi Everyone, I will try to not duplicate anyone else's post but I am having issues via Mac. I have downloaded the Mac version (and managed to install VideoMakerFX).

I also downloaded XAMP. I have changed my Mac OS host file by adding
"127.0.0.1 auth7.videomakerfx.com
127.0.0.1 auth9.videomakerfx.com"
to the end of it and saving.

Then I launched XAMP Apache Server. Then I launched VideoMaker but it said the following after trying to login:
"VideoMakerFX cannot connect to verify your log-in details. Ensure you are connected to the Internet and that no firewall or anti-virus is blocking VideoMakerFX from connecting to the Internet. Ensure to set a rule or disable your Firewall / Anti-Virus to allow VideoMakerFX to connect"

I realize its the same error many had before but since I'm using a mac and not many people have spoke about installing it on the mac I was hoping someone more inclined than me could help?

I'm ON MAC OS, not windows

I did the following:

1) Installed VideoMakerFX
2) Installed XAMPP
3) Changed my hosts file to include the two lines that are included in the notepad file
4) Started up XAMPP Apache Server
5) Opened VideoMaker, tried to login, but go an error (must be connected to the internet, etc etc error message)
6) I did change my XAMPP config file. I changed the port to 85, but then changed it right back to port 80.

Any wisdom that could help with my dilemma?

Once again, sorry if this has been addressed, I just didn't notice many Mac OS users mentioning they installed (I read all 21 pages)

way better with much more functionality plus, all of VMFX slide can be use in this software

Man, I did not know that it would post that many times! I never got a confirm or warning after my post to allow me to see my posts.
