[GET] Transfer files from Mega directly to Google Drive

I was enabling distractions and discovered this video that shows how to transfer files from Mega.nz directly to Google Drive.

This gives you a link to a Google Colab file that executes the transfer.

Some of the files at BBHF are quite large. No more waiting for the Mega download to my hard drive and then another extended period uploading these large files to my unlimited Google Drive.

This is probably useful for a lot of BBHF members.

If you search "Mega-to-Google-Drive" colab you'll find that this user has spammed far and wide to get traffic to his YT channel, uses short links to control access, etc - so here is the direct link to his crappy sheet that is no help at all:

Post #4 claims this doesn't work. Well, I had to slow down the video and watch it several times to take the steps needed to make it work. It's better than multicloud.

Here are written instructions:

A. Follow steps 1-10 to mount your Google Drive to the Colab script
B. Follow steps 11-15 to indicate which Mega download file you want to copy to which GDrive directory
C. Follow step 16

1) Go to the bit_ly link that's underneath the video

2) Click Connect [top right]

3) Click Mount GDrive to /content/drive [middle]

4) Click Mount

5) Copy the given URL and go to it

6) Choose your Google Account that has the Google Drive you want to use.

7) Allow

8) Copy the given code

9) Return to the Google Colab page

10) Paste the code from #8 at "Enter your authorization code" then press enter
(you'll see the gear underneath Mount GDrive to /content/drive turning)

When the gear stops turning you have successfully Mounted your Google Drive on this Colab script.

11) Click Transfer from Mega to GDrive

12) Copy/Paste the Mega download URL of the file you want to transfer next to URL

13) To get your OUTPUT_PATH click on Mount GDrive to /content/drive [top left]

14) Click on drive and navigate to the folder you want to use as the destination for the file

15) Copy the path and paste it at OUTPUT_PATH

16) Click on the gear icon [under Transfer from Mega to GDrive]

17) Watch the transfer.

It will take time for the transfer to take place - be patient

This does not use any of your bandwidth.

The poster 'sudo-ken' HAS posted his stuff like spam all over the internet FOR SURE and I say this because I did the searching as I recommended for others to do.

His video is just torture and his sheet is useless.

I have 2 better ways to grab stuff from mega - which I generally avoid anyhow.

My own mega account is abandoned because their service truly sucks - and that is why I still call it 'megasuck'.

This whole thing is too complicated and the amount of efforts needed goes FAR beyond the value of any possible results, IMO.
