[GET] The Urantia Book - Opened My Eyes!

All I can say is that this book is has opened my eyes on many levels and given me much hope in times of despair. Life has improved greatly because I removed anxieties and self-induced fears and started taking ownership for all my thoughts and actions. It is non-religious and there are many forums about this book. Maybe is of use to others and thought I'd just share it. Over 2,000 pages!

An overwhelming amount of esoteric material, it is.

Channeled, it is also.

If it has helped you, and made your life better, than the bits of truth contained have helped you.

Though, as with most channeled material, one must develop spiritual discernment ('BS' detectors).

Sometimes it takes years of studying various ancient texts, as well as other channeled material to see the patterns.

There are MANY channeled materials which are full of wisdom, intellectual, and 'cozy', and most of them, in the end, have a particular view on Christ.

That's where, after due diligence, one may separate that which is counterfeit from that which is Real.

The contention usually comes down to the unanswerable ... (and that means we don't have to debate OR answer it in BBHF lol) ...

Is Jesus Christ the 'One', a la Neo of the Matrix? Or was He simply the most enlightened Bhoddisattva in all of known history?

Or BOTH? There is evidence of His missing years being spent in India ... where there are texts that refer to Him as 'Bhuddha Issa'.

One must also ask, were all the prophecies about the Messiah (look it up, well over 100) which Jesus Christ fulfilled, just random circumstance?

Given that Christ spoke of Himself as the Way, the essence of Bhuddha's teachings, many paths, they are essentially one and the same.

That of seeking the Kingdom Within. That includes removal of fears and attachments (btw) ...

...and I'll leave it at that :)

Thank you kindly for your thoughtful input. I was truly moved by this book and the contents within. I never knew what way was up, down, left, right or inside or out. Just always felt nudged to find something to bring me light or lightness within me. Agreed with your input and I've also encountered this and thought I'd share with you. I believe that no matter what it is the individual that takes what is and makes it do. Not sure how to explain but it is powerful and expansive beyond my scope. I have had a hard copy of this book since 2006. It has some great ideas and perspectives, but others are so out of order, that I only see chaos as the reason for it being written. It is okay, for those who may not have been exposed to vast information from various sources, as it can give a new thought pattern on things, but it may not be beneficial for the reader.
