[GET] The Ultimate Virtual Assistant Salary Guide ebook
I searched to see if this had been shared and didn't see it. This is a free ebook from a site called Virtual Staff Finder who specialize in finding VA's for folks. The link below allows to skip the providing your email part. These guys deal primarily with VA's from the Philippines. It's a freebie so it doesn't go into too much depth but I am curious to see those of you who use VA's and/or are familiar with the Philippine labor market how the suggested wages stack up. I am soon to be in the market to outsource and am learning as much as I can before doing so. Hope some find the info of interest.

from the ebook:

"Here are the most updated average salary rates for the most common types of VA’s, as they stand at the moment: (feel free to ask if
they are still relevant, by emailing us)

• General Virtual Assistant – Full-time, $450-$650 a month
• Article / Content Writers - Full-time, $500-$700 a month
• SEO Specialist – Full-time, $550-$750 a month
• Web Developer - Full-time, $600-$1000 a month

*(Programmers, Graphic Designers and Video Editors have the same average rates as Web Developers) Part-time rates would obviously be 50% of full-time rates.

Ultimately, it’s down to you, as the virtual boss, to decide what you are happy paying for your virtual staff. However, to be able to attract,
hire and keep great staff working for you virtually in the Philippines, you also have to be very aware that the industry has and
continues to change immensely."

Really? In the Philippines?

I think anyone working as a VA in the Philippines would think they'd struck gold if they hit that pay rate.

Looks like these guys are creaming it off the top!

What do you think Blackhatters?

RE:
looks like prices have gone up a fair bit since last time I checked. mine are still at the lower level, looks like they haven't looked around.

BUT, how am I supposed to manage my online business if all these skilled labour suddenly become aware of their true worth?

They're not stupid after all, that's why we IM sharks hire them - and there's the dilemma - how do we hire smart people and keep them stupid at the same time?

one of my mate pay his VA in Philippines $1k/mo (very big money for Philippines), and he use that VA for 3 years already.
I think the salary depends on you, do you see your employee as slave (pay below or in the lowest salary as possible) or want to help them increasing their wealth ?, it's just yours. In my country we even pay people for $250-$350/mo for full time.

maybe the ebook creator want to 'respect' his VA than to pay them in the lowest salary ever. who knows ?
