Good share, but remember that Google is picking up on blog networks nowadays ;)

They are... but there are some pretty good smaller private networks out there that still work really well and as long as you continue to diversify your backlink profile like crazy, you shouldn't suffer when high PR blog links die here and there... there's even a couple good ones on Fiverr.
