I have a problem with this study because they were determining whether or not EFT would work with EFT virgins and not whether EFT worked, in general.

The group was not taught the technique by someone experienced with teaching EFT. Gary Craig says, many times, that EFT is an art, not a science. "One-hit wonders" (sessions in which the presenting problem is fixed after one session) can happen but they are rare, especially when performed by an EFT virgin.

I watched a video when I first found EFT in which Gary Craig went to a prison to try out EFT on volunteers. I wish I could find the link but haven't been able to. These guys were the real deal. They weren't going to tell a soft engineer what he wanted to hear. You could tell some had chips on their shoulders and most were skeptical. After the session, the most common expression on their faces was incredulity that it actually worked. One of the guys was a smoker for 40 or 50 years, he started as a kid, and was wide-eyed with wonder that after the session he could play with a cigarette, rolling it around his fingers, even putting the cigarette in his mouth and had zero compunction to light up.

I had a major energy blockage and didn't know it. I was frustrated that after 20+ sessions little had changed. I had followed the directions religiously, watched the videos multiple times, and had printed out the manual to keep it handy. I had a shower after work one night and I was inspired to do EFT under running water. Instead of tapping 7-10 times on each point, I was inspired to tap 40-50 times on each point. I "felt" (energetically, not physically) a popping and there was a real change after that session. It also made subsequent sessions easier.

While searching for links for this reply, I found that many have pronounced EFT discredited and recommend not using it. I think it's hilarious that, because of $$$$, these same people have no problem pushing pills and treatments with known side-effects and the understanding that not every pill will work the same on everyone.

If you check out the emofree channel on YouTube, you can see the progress made with people and judge for yourself whether the people Gary Craig helped were stooges or genuine. I'm not trying to convince anyone but I'm a genuine fan of a healing modality shared freely with the world. I had/have a hangup about doctors of any flavor and am beyond grateful that I don't need a "professional" to heal myself.

2{ I worked as an addictions counselor for 20 years with chronic alcoholics and addicts. and am a trained advanced EFT practitioner My experience is that EFT does work. It is the best method to use with TRAUMA . 97 % of m,y case load where survivors A research project down by a PHD candidate discovered a significant number of trauma survivors who where much better adjusted that the average person. after finishing his dissertation and getting his PHD, he went back and tracked what all these people he called "Trauma Thrivers" had in-common...The answer was me and EFT. I take no credit, and give it ALL to EFT
3) my total AV software stopped my download, saying it contained MAL WARE.. has any body else had this problem?

I know emofree very well. :) Before he had his "Jesus in the temple" moment (when everyone and their brother were changing EFT just enough to name it - and market it as "improved" - themselves) and deleted the website, I downloaded all the articles. I'm still crying that the drive I stored them on failed.

Gary Craig was the first EFT guy on the web. All the other ones, especially the Ortners, have just built on all the work Gary did. They may be better marketers, but they are NOT better EFT trainers. Gary is the best.
