Review:

This course is actually not very different from the author's previous course - Website Launch Blueprint - which is shared here somewhere. If you take a look at that you will find a lot of what's in this course too. As for the course itself, yes it is a bit detailed and requires a lot of work. The problem I have with it is that I am not convinced that 1. The author actually uses it himself or 2. it is proven to work. 1. I did some analyses on a few of the author's sites and I saw no evidence of the kind of site, or network, he advocates creating 2. This is little more than the rather tried and tested method of creating a bunch of web 2 entities and syndicating to them - in fact, the exact same thing advocated in the recent 'Panda' course by Don and Jeremy (which is cr@p, by the way). My theory is that D&J probably got a copy of this course and decided to do their own version although they didn't really understand what it was all about and created a really cr@p course instead about one small aspect of this one. Except in their course they advise you to use Onlywire instead of PingFM... Then OnlyWire went premium. I've yet to see any evidence that the Panda updates are really responsive to syndicated content on homemade content farms, however detailed you make your system. This guy advises you to create a whole bunch of Gmail account to make it seem like you are actually lots of different people, but that seems like something that Google might have sussed out by now. A clever idea back in 1995 but a few people caught on soon after. The system does seem to go into a lot of detail, but if you really want to do it right you will need to create a whole bunch of web 2 entities, each with original content, unique Gmail accounts, possibly use multiple IPs, a computer in each country... Man, if only you had the time and money to create your own web and search engine then 'bingo!' you'd be in the money. But that would take a lifetime and this course doesn't offer a great shortcut. The killer is that each of the author's sites I checked didn't even seem to use the method he sets out. So my impression is that this is a rather detailed 'theoretical' approach. Perhaps the author thinks it might work, and decided to let you muggs try it out for him. If there are a bunch of success stories then he'll take the money and do it himself... and if there aren't then he'll just take the money! It's what you call a win/win. Funny thing is that the example site he uses is one he says he created for a client. But when you do a search on it's main domain KW it comes second in the results (for a very low comp KW) and when I did a backlink analysis for it, it had ONE backlink! I also checked backlinks for a site he is currently promoting big time and it has 1000's of backlinks from only 100+ sites. None of them seem to be the kind of site in this course. In fact, he just seems to be doing the usual commenting, profiling, spamming stuff... hey, this course takes time, and spamming is quick and easy after all. If you want a syndication system, then this might offer a useable blueprint. But it's a lot of work for something which appears untested, in the current climate and probably rather 2009 (not 2012). If you decide that syndication is dead and you need to use original content instead, then go ahead and do like Don and Jeremy and create a complete new website on a bunch of unique IPs (except don't follow their advice to use syndicated content). But if you are looking for a tried and tested post-Panda SEO system, keep looking cos this ain't it. And nor is D&J's thing. And nor is anything else I've seen yet. Update... some of my sites that dropped to page 10 after the Panda update have now reappeared on page one without me doing a d*** thing... so I'm thinking of writing a WSO to say 'don't touch it!; and charging a monthly fee. Watch this space. Conclusion: All the post Panda courses I have looked at so far seem to do the same thing. They all focus on Web 2 properties and moving the idea of blog farms to web 2. Unfortunately, I don't think clumsy syndication is the key, but it clearly sells WSOs. The problem with this model is one of control and scaleability. If you are a one-man outfit then the number of properties you need to mature for each site is just too great to make it useful in the short term. And if you have the resources to fund the kind of network necessary, then you may as well buy a bunch of sites on Flippa and put them all on their own host. In any case, at the end of the day you are still stuck with the problem of having to create endless well-written unique 500+ word articles to feed these multi-headed monsters. Personally, I think your time and money would be better spent on creating a good landing page and email capture, then purchasing a few Adwords vouchers and maybe a few media buys then promote to your ever expanding list. When you compare the time/money investment on this model against the model outlined in this WSO I think you might prefer your odds. REMEMBER - Panda is about SEO, not PPC/Banners!!! F@ck Google, F@ck organic. Find the sites that are ranking and buy a space til the next Panda kills them then find the next site... be a parasite!
