YMMV! I can not comment on your cpu but 3 years ago I 'broke-in' a new tyan mb with 2 x 4core opterons for 1 week @100% cpu load and about 65% ram utilization. It was three instances of taking a 1tb drive of movies and changing the format/size/bit rates etc. Never crashed or signaled a problem. Very toasty in that room though

I am still using that machine. In fact I am using it right now, typing this and 3 VMs running nicely in VB at the same time.

There are too many factors that play into cpu troubles to mention: obviously use at own risk and check your warranty.
