TimThumb is a simple, flexible, PHP script that resizes images. You give it a bunch of parameters, and it spits out a thumbnail image that you can display on your site.
some themes use this script to resize image. the Base64 representation of a GIF saying "no hotlinking".

You are right, and this was the first time I found the code, although there are many themes that do not use the base64 code, but it is usually easier to infiltrate one of our website through the thimthumb.php file right ..?

some theme like sahifa use thimthumb.php and you can delete it without problem but i don't know about this theme. for more security you can download last version thimthumb.php and replace in theme folder.

Yes and many theme use timthumb.php, i see inside the timthumb.php file on your link, same with timthumb.php in this theme the are say it is a new version oh timthumb.php, and after i use the theme i'm going to my cpanel for see the use my bandwitch on my blog, but averything is fine. i hope this is not a problem right..?
