Thanks for the review! Can you recommend a good resource for content arbitrage?

Pretty similar to the wso shared long ago (link below), It has less information and the content creation process is not properly mapped out, a rip from the wso below with less information. Better get the real wso!

RE:
In theory this is a good idea, even though it's an old idea (arbitrage), but it would work better for link building or something other than writing. I tried starting my own content business a few years ago, and built up a small client base and started to outsource the work, but the problem is that you are on a time-frame, and if you get back work that isn't up to par it effects the entire business model. I'd get work back and end up rewriting the articles myself, because they were so poor, and the problem with a content mill like iwriter, etc, is that you aren't getting the same person writing the article. One day you can get a great article and the next day you can get a poor one.

A better idea is to hire some writers from a country where the wages are low, but the English language is common, such as the Phillipines. If you properly screen the writers, you can make a few dollars per article without lifting a finger.

Good comments Big Tuna and everyone.

Yes, arbitrage is nothing new - it dates back to the days of cavemen. As long as we have been able to offer something we own or control for more money, goods or time than we expended to get it - then sell it for more - arbitrage has been a profitable and smart thing to do.

I have been using this model as a passive income generator for over a decade. It is very labor-intensive in the beginning - until you are able to outsouce all the moving parts - which takes time.

Big Tuna nailed it - you have to treat it as a business. As long as you only treat is as a way to make a few extra bucks - or even lots of extra bucks, you will never grow it as big as it can be.

Here are the things you need to focus on:

1.) The size of the business you want to grow.
2.) The niche(s) you want to sell to. (The finer and more specialized - the better)
3.) Finding good, reliable writers specific to each niche (and always having backups for these people and overseas works great)
4.) Getting top-tier pricing early and staying there. (All the competiton is at the low end - not the high.) You won't know how high pricing is until you start losing buyers over it - losing buyers at the low end enables you to concentrate on and take more high end clients.
5.) Adding layers of outsourcing - editors, prospectors, project managers - that make it as hands-off as possible. (I spend an average of 3.5 hours a week on this - sometimes less - rarely more.)
6.) Adding niches as desired and necessary - and growing.
7.) Testing and testing some more- there are always ways to make more money with this simple process - I find new methods all the time.
8.) Asking yourself - How can I do this one time and do it well enough that I don't ever have to do it again - then applying it in your businesses? This is a different paradigm that can make you wealthy.

Arbitrage and brokering content or anything else is a simple business once you decide it is a business and not just another activity. The content I sell through this business is priced in high double and triple digits (each piece) - and I have rabid buyers for all the content this "side" business can produce. If I could produce more - I could sell it in minutes.

I have had 2 complaints this year - both of which were simple and easily resolved. My PayPal account has had ZERO refunds or buyer price adjustments in 2013. Every once in a while, someone from PayPal calls me and asks me if there is anything more they can do to help me do more business.

I passed $200-a-day a v-e-r-y long time ago in this business. I don't need to solocit for business anywhere in the IM world. My main gigs are copywriting, Kindle and video - but this makes more money (passively) than any of the others.

No - I won't tell you my niches or every detail about how I do things. (Some things are best learned by doing them and this is one of them.)

I am taking the time to write this because I have free time to enjoy at the end of the year - thanks to a lot of hard work done over ten years ago.

It is nice to see the money come in every day and enjoy the holidays. It was worth every bead of sweat and all the hours it took to get here.

I haven't done anything anyone reading this can't do. The truth is: most of you are probably smarter than I am. I am pretty average in most ways, but the difference is that a smart person will take a business idea like this and find lots of reasons it won't or can't work.

I will take it and treat like a starved, one-armed monkey trying to crack a coconut. I will pound on it and beat it against a rock until I crack it. If that doesn't work, I will find a bigger, stronger, smarter monkey and convince them to crack it for me.

The arbitrage thing in this raw ebook works. It only gives you a skeleton of what can be done, but you can begin making money today. But it only works if/when you decide to.
You have to learn the rules of the game. Then you have to play better than anyone else. -Albert Einstein

RE:
nice reviews x2 Quasar! sounds to me that YOU are the expert in "content arbitrage" - why not create a WSO on the topic? I'm sure you could command a high price for it!
