Dear Struggling Offline Marketer,

I don’t care what niche you are in. I don’t care if you are a list builder, an SEO expert, a product creator, or a blogger. If you aren’t doing offline marketing you are leaving BIG money on the table.

The problem is if you don’t know what you are doing, offline marketing can be extremely confusing, so most people don’t even bother. Part of the reason for the confusion is because most of the Offline Marketing products out there are complete garbage…


What I have for you today is not your typical Offline Marketing Guide.

Most of these bogus offline marketing guides tell you that “all” you need to do is think of a few services to provide for local companies and then spend all day cold calling companies hoping some of them say yes.

Who knows, maybe this strategy works. Personally, I never tested it.

Why?


Because I HATE COLD CALLING!!

I don’t want people calling me all day trying to sell me their services, so why would I want to be that annoying guy that nobody really wants to hear from?


That’s when I heard about people having success with simply emailing business owners and informing them of the services they offer…


…I tried this for a good month. I would spend all day on sites like YellowPages.com and Yelp.com finding business owners email addresses and emailing them.


HA! What a joke..


Emailing potential clients turned out to be worse than cold calling. During that entire month I hardly got any responses, and most of the responses I did get were from angry business owners calling me a spammer.


I knew there had to be a better way…


I knew there were a lot of people who were making a KILLING with offline marketing, but I just couldn’t seem to “crack the code“.


But then I had an idea..What if I could offer one of my services to local business owners (a service that they ALL need anyways), and offer it to them at a price they can’t refuse…


and there is NO better price than FREE!


Now I know what you are thinking…


“Bryan, you are nuts. You can’t make any money by giving away a service for free”.


Ahhhh but you can!


It took a little “thinking outside the box“, but I came up with a formula that lets me give a service to local business owners for free AND get paid $125 each time I do it…but it doesn’t stop there…


I then figured out how to scale this up and have the clients pay me hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars per month by doing almost NO extra work. Pretty cool huh?


And I haven’t even gotten to the best part!


The best part is the fact that you can forget about cold calling, forget about emailing, and forget about struggling to get clients.


The ONLY time you come into contact with potential clients is when THEY EMAIL YOU because they are interested in your service.


Yes, you heard that right…


Potential clients will be coming to you. You no longer have to waste hours each day trying to find clients…you can now use that time to actually do productive tasks that MAKE YOU MONEY.

Quick Review:

The typical crappy WSO that is like so many lousy WSOs out there.

1.) Offer free websites to businesses and get them to buy hosting from Hostgator and collect the $125 affiliate fee. (Of course, he fails to mention that you have to wait as long as 60 days to collect the money from Hostgator.)

2.) Get clients by advertising free websites on Craigslist and explain that you are a student/newbie web developer looking to build a portfolio.

3.) To further boost sales, post a help wanted ad in the Craigslist jobs section saying that you want to hire experienced sales people to give away websites and collect $62.50 for each conversion. And of course, he does not mention that they will likely have to wait 30 -60 days to get paid from the Hostgator affiliate program.

4.) Upsell other services like SEO and mobile websites (Mobile website upsells might be difficult because he recommends buying the Socrates WP theme, which is responsive and works on both mobile devices and computer screens.)

Grade: 1/5 - This method is getting very old. In the past six months, I have seen at least 10 WSO pushing the same formula. It is clear to me that this guy has never used this method himself.

5 REPS FOR YOUR HONESTY.

I did some research in this area and there are a couple of hosting companies that pay within 30 days... but you still have to wait. One way to get some fast cash out of this method, is to get the details on the site they want and THEN explain you can create (1) an advanced, nicer website (2) a video (3)other services, like email.

There are many free nice Wordpress themes and many generic (easy to edit) videos (plumbers, movers, dentists, etc). A real nice theme is no more difficult or time-consuming than the basic theme giveaway. If you only took in an extra $50 in front for those services, plus the $100-$125 later, it's a decent payday for a couple of hours work!

Please don't write me about which hosting companies. I deleted my notes as I don't have time for it. Just do some Google research.

Here's a summary of how we made an average £50k ($75k) per website without 300 times the work:

Skills Needed:
1. Direct Response Copywriting. You don't need to be a Dan Kennedy or John Carlton, you just need to be better than the average small business owner - not hard! :-)
2. Wordpress install - 10 sec job on cpanel or hire someone from fiver.
3. Local SEO skills (easy peasy, usually only on page needed).
4. The ability to talk to small business owners. I'm very shy and find this hard, however I've been self employed for 35+ years, so it can't be too difficult, can it? :-)

Method:
1. Pick a business/niche, choose one with a high Lifetime Customer Value (LCV).
2. Examine and profile the ideal customer, normally there will be more than one, so choose one to focus on.
3. Build your website as client focused, problem/solution. Most small business sites are product focused, by focusing on customer problems you'll get far more attention.
4. Get good copy with Direct Response call to action.
5. Build in email marketing with autoresponder messages.
6. Take client through current cost of acquisition and LCV. This is what dictates your price.
7. Then ask the question "How much is a steady stream of x customers worth to you?". Show them your stats/analytics. The customer will sell themselves. Offer a 30 day free trial, if necessary.
8. Can be sold outright or "rented".

Most business people will recognise that a large one off payment that continues to work for them is better than continuous advertising fees. So it's often easier to sell the site outright than rent it. You can always upsell support.

Once you've done this once, build another in same niche but different town/city. Or choose another niche.
