The "DM" at the end of the filename is short for DigiMike. I always appreciate reps, thank you! The other day, I uploaded my favourite file system backup software (Goodsync) and here is my favourite OS (Windows) backup system - there is a good free version that you can download from the link above that might well support many people. Mind you, if you have another OS installed in a 'dual boot' that gets saved as well! Again, I have NO vested interest whatsoever - it's a darn good program, which I am happy to recommend and believe me, I have tried quite a few over the years! As well as taking a snapshot of your entire (or you can select) system and saving it to your desired location, it has a smashing boot repair sub-program (on the rescue disk) which has helped me on a few occasions, when somehow it became corrupted. Saving and ultimately restoring your system is really straight-forward and pretty quick! |
