Here are a few download links for recently uploaded courses (August 2017) from Udemy, Lynda and more. The subjects range widely from computer technology, copywriting, idea generation, setting up web businesses, and a lot more!

Check out the links to see what I mean...but before you get started, read my notes below because I'm sure they will help.

LAYNA'S NOTE:

1. Password: The password to open these files is: bitdownload.ir so please save it somewhere. This should open any and all files you download from this site. If you try to scan the files for a virus, you will be asked for the password. Keep it handy. I believe that once you actually install and use the programs, you should not be asked for the PW but ... if you do, you'll have it.

2. Saving files: Be aware that some of these courses are multi-part files. Be sure to download ALL PARTS in one directory (ex: put them in the same place on your computer; it is better to create a NEW FOLDER, name it the same as the course and save all downloaded parts there. That way, when you go to install and use the files, everything will work seamlessly.

3. Your OS: Be mindful that you should always download files that work with your computer's operating system. If you are on an older machine running Windows XP or earlier, download the x86 version of a program when given the option. If you are running Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10, you should download the x64 version of a file when given the option. If you're running a Macintosh, there should be a separate Mac file or you will be told that the file works on all systems. You can also use Parallels or some other simulator that allows you to use Windows programs on your Macintosh.

4. Be patient: These are HUGE courses. In some cases, you will need to leave them running in the background while you do other things. Right now, I'm downloading a 2-part Udemy course entitled Copywriting: The Psychology of Your Irresistible Offer Tutorial and my computer tells me that Part One alone will take 20 minutes!

5. Protect yourself: These downloads come from Persian download sites. Bitdownload.ir is one of several. I talk a lot about these sites in a share I did in the fall of 2016. I tell you why these downloads are safe but why you should be careful to protect your browser (use a private browser) especially if you're a native of the USA. I also tell why you should use a few other very helpful aids like a high-capacity external drive and a few virtual programs, when downloading from these Persian sites.

To add to point Layna's point #3. Your OS: If you are using a Win 7 or later OS, determine whether it is 32-bit or 64-bit and then download appropriate version of the files. 64-bit systems can run either 32-bit or 64-bit programs (64-bit on 64-bit is able to make full use of resources), 32-bit can only run 32-bit. If a new system was purchased recently, then it would very likely be 64-bit (no guarantees).

x86 = IA32
x86-64 = AMD64
IA64 was something different, called Itanium which no one talks about.

@edgey and feefiefohfum: Thank you both for your kind appreciation of my share. Also, to fee: Thank you for the added details on Operating Systems. That can be a bit tricky.

I have a newer computer that uses x64 but it came pre-installed with files for BOTH x64 and x86. I'm STILL wondering what that's about!

If anyone can shed some light on this for me, I'd appreciate it.
