RE: [GET] LAYNA'S PLR LINK-A-PALOOZA
@All: I do appreciate your kind posts. I hope you enjoy this share.

@DacInBC: Your question is very interesting and timely, I think. Problem is, I can't answer it with any level of confidence, because I don't use AI. It's everywhere you look, so I can't say I'm not familiar with it but I love-love-love words and writing too much to let some "robot" give me an easy way out. Now, I'm not damning it for people who want that kind of thing. My mind flows with words that I sometimes can't get onto a page or browser screen quickly enough! And I majored in English (liberal arts) in my undergraduate studies so I'm kind of a word-nerd, you might say. Writing is a labor of love for me.

But here's what I can offer in terms of my opinion about AI and PLR (which isn't worth the digital bytes it takes to share them, since I'm not a real user of either)...

MY VERDICT: It can help, if used in the right way. You see, it's not so much about the technology (AI) or the strategy (PLR) but more about the humans behind it.

Again, this is only my opinion and anyone has the right to disagree with me (need I remind you, I've never used AI, so I'm not the best person to ask).

But in my opinion, someone who is imaginative and resourceful can take a semi-crappy piece of PLR as a basis to get an idea for a product, then use AI to create something wholly new and much more valuable than the original (since most PLR isn't a full treatment of a topic).

On the other hand, somehow without a clue who wants to make big profits will put their focus on creating lots of products "quickly and easily" and will use AI that may get similar results to something already in the same marketplace they're in. Without adequately editing their product, it could look too similar to someone else's product and that could be a problem. For example, one or two basic PLR products can be used to have AI produce a very comprehensive micro course... and a website to promote it (based on what I've seen)!

You've got to think about brining real value to the end user/customer or you will not be successful, regardless of what tools you have at your disposal. The results you get are (at least in large part) determined by the people behind the tools.

I've seen some amazing stuff produced via AI as part of my research in putting this share together. Still, I can't believe it is as easy as giving a robot a few directions, sitting back and watching a miracle unfold.

I have also seen posts all over the web where people laughed at the results they got using AI; so it cannot be completely trusted. You've got to do your own due diligence because no matter how smart a robot is, it still needs direction from a human (no matter how dumb they may be).

As for whether Tiffany Dow's PLR-derived income was impacted by AI, I can't be sure. It probably was (or will be) and like any sensible entrepreneur, she will need to adapt and adjust to stave off too much of a revenue hit in the future. She can also jump on the bandwagon and use this technology to stay in the game if AI can help creators make PLR products faster with an overall improvement in appearance and content.

I believe you will find a few AI/PLR downloads or blog posts in this collection that may have a more definitive answer than what I'm giving you here.

Since I have NEVER even broached AI (I keep seeing it everywhere but I'm not one to follow trends) I cannot speak (or write) with any confidence in what I just told you. PLR should only be used by people who want to put in some work to make it uniquely their own or you will risk getting shut down (as in accounts closed and revenue stream stifled) when you try to take the easy road of churning out product quickly and easily.

THE BIGGER ISSUE IS THIS...

I'm amazed at the new technology but (for now, at least) I will do my own content creation. I just can't see this not becoming a problem down the road with duplicate or very similar content and images and people's vendor accounts being shut down. I might also add that I'm not a lawyer (and I don't play one on TV) but I'm not aware of any law that allows a "creator" to sue for infringement because someone else's AI-created product or image closely resembles their own.

If I am wrong about any of this, I stand to be corrected. I love learning, so please, enlighten me.

PLR products are not the same as public domain content so they should be copyrighted and this brings up another concern about AI-created stuff that may be similar to someone else's content.

Then, there's also this...

Would you risk having your top money-maker (a very hot-selling product produced via AI) not copyrighted? Well, at the moment, it looks like that's the reality unless the copyright law is updated to include protections for work created by non-humans.

As I said, your question is very relevant and provokes an interesting discussion. In fact, it brings up more and more layers of discussion around using AI that can further complicate issues for people who use it.

Maybe we have someone with a legal background here who can give us their feedback about AI-produced PLR content and copyright laws. Or someone with experience using AI for content creation who can say whether duplicate content is something AI creators should be concerned about.

This didn't answer your question but it provokes a lot of thought. So thank you.

Thanks

RE: [GET] LAYNA'S PLR LINK-A-PALOOZA
Thanks for the reply Layna. In regards to using AI, apart from the legalities, what I was meaning is it is pretty simple for someone to sit down at ChatGPT and say give me a 1000 word document on horse shoeing. This is super dumbed down, but would produce something of dubious quality. Now ChatGPT is free in limited quantities, so instead of buying a PLR package on horse shoeing, why would someone not sit down at chatGPT over a few days and get it to generate all the reports you need. Then rewrite them as you would the PLR?
You can also use chatGPT to design your outline, etc.

I was just trying to decide if PLR was still relevant any more with tools like that available.

Now that being said, Tony Shepherd is just about to release a new report (I think the email went out this morning) on how to use PLR in your business. I know Tony does use some AI for some tasks he is playing with, so I was surprised to see this new product. I guess we will find out in a month or so, if it was successful or not, I think he is asking $47 and he usually reports in his inner circle if a product flubbed or not.

I am not advocating for either side or method, just curious if people feel PLR is relevant any more. I see several people thanked you for your contribution of the PLR, so some people are still using it.

RE: [GET] LAYNA'S PLR LINK-A-PALOOZA
PS. I get what you mean about the copyright on AI as well as PLR. However, in both cases if you rewrite the document, it is now an original and subject to your own copyright.

I am not suggesting to use PLR or AI to publish directly to a product one would be making.

RE: [GET] LAYNA'S PLR LINK-A-PALOOZA
Thanks for the further clarification. I also read your PM.

And yes, what you described is a great way to use AI to get niche content quickly.

Also, yes. It is easier to edit (or expand upon) existing content than to come up with it from scratch in most cases. So it's a great way to create PLR content quickly.

Again, I don't want to seem like an authority on this when I'm not. Perhaps someone who has experience will post to the thread.

On your behalf, though, I asked Google for help. I asked "With AI, is PLR even relevant anymore?" And here's what one guy with experience had to say...

WITH AI - IS PLR
STILL RELEVANT?

And before I go, here's another interesting PLR review article that discusses AI a little bit:

Alex Tucker recommends an AI copywriting software called Jarvis. I'm posting the link below so you can look into it. It's not free but you can sign up for a trial.

Jarvis is an AI assistant that helps you create content for just about any purpose up to 5x faster. Visit that link and see all the neat extra bonuses you'll get for signing up for the trial.

You will need to put in your bank card for the trial but if you go into the settings panel and cancel before the 5-day trial ends, you will not be charged.

And please note, I am not an affiliate of this (nor ANY product or service). I just learned about Jarvis as part of trying to help answer your question so I don't benefit whether or not you decide to give Jarvis a try.

Your question gives anyone who may be considering using AI for PLR something to think about.

Thanks
