Seriously? Are you kidding me? These themes are so basic and uninspired. I don't want to be rude but, good lord there are a lot of offline themes out there that put these to shame.

Oh yeah? If you're talking about other cartoon-styled themes like these, then I'd love to check them out. Otherwise I'd have to disagree with them being uninspired. If anything they stand out more than all of the other themes that look the same (especially ones from WSOs). Not every business owner wants a "serious"-look , that's why there's always some local businesses that are the go-to guys because they're known to be friendly, established, reliable and not some big franchise or contractor!

I'd just say that they are different which can be good and some of the field techs will like them because they're not boring, stuffy, overly glossy professional but more fun and unique. The bonus I see is that they are mobile responsive and the videos are not silly animoto style plumber slideshows but videos that actually do a good job of selling the sites for you.

"Fun" was the word I was looking for! Yeah professionalism is subjective, but I think a lot of people have the wrong idea and think everything should look a certain way (even though what most people think is professional-looking is far from it). Themes are like WSOs; there's a lot of junk. I'd never use a theme from a WSO since most are quickly made for $$ and I've never seen a nice one (I'll make an exception here since these look different... except the mechanic one is ugly ). ThemeForest is a good example where there are a lot of nice themes, but a good chunk of those are also poorly coded!
