Do not update. If you do, then you can't login. Had the same experience but OK when I reverted to original one

On a personal basis, having what I would refer to as a few "quality" or "money" sites, I've always done things pretty much manually because of constant changes in the online world, and preferring to go about things in a more "conservative" manner.

I have used 1 or 2 curation plugins but honestly, I simply use them to source content from around the web and then include portions into my "hand-made" stuff but in more of a research manner than a flat out cut/paste/credit originator via link type thing.

However, with the discovery of both this desktop software and Sean Donahoe's soon to be released Rapid Content Wizard (which lookz even better in my humble opinion) I am going to now be looking into this "curation thing" more closely.

My main objectives with my sites are to provide quality content (job 1) and my intentions have always been to provide content which users have never seen before on the net, but, I'm also not oblivious to the fact that there are better writers/providers than myself and to increase/improve user experience I do believe providing the best all-around content is desirable.

All that being said, I have a couple of question if any kind members who actually use curation successfully wouldn't mind commenting on.

1) Have you noticed an increase/decrease in Google rankings since utilizing curation? I know Google takes current activities/content into favorable account.

2) How does linking out to original source affect (if any) PR bleed? I always try to keep my outbound links to 25 or under, if I'm currating content on a constant basis I can see how I can get to well over 50 OBL in a relatively short amount of time - does that bleed PR?

3) While I'm at it, here is a somewhat unrelated question that I also have wondered about since I tend to be the conservative type of website master. AUTOBLOGGING, once upon a time (2009, etc) I ran some autoblogs and things went well (though the server hated me for running 10-20 of them) up to a point and then they started losing ranking and I basically dis-continued that and continued on, again, manually.

I believe the reason they began to lose rank was due to Pandas duplicate content thing, and never really gave it much thought until recently when I have been noticing certain popular programs utilizing this medium (Article Builder, etc) and so I might as well ask in case anyone has experience w/ that also..... is autoblogging for regular "money" sites "OK"? (minus the obvious of not using duplicate content)

I'm just wondering why I've been seeing autoblogging again, personally I probably won't use on my own main sites - especially since I have a private blog network and wouldn't want to have them tied together in any way - but just wondering how Google views autoblogging...would a 3rd party service like Article Builder's built-in autoblogging feature leave a footprint and thus be a means of "tieing sites together"?

Anyway gang, just some thoughts and if "those in the know" care to chime-in, I for one would be grateful

Thanks again,
Cheerz

No reason to exaggerate, kirstie. Just calm down!
2011, shortly after registrating in BBHF, I had a serious breakdown. I returned to the forum this year. And I write, if and when I got something reasonable to say. But thx anyway for the fiery welcome-back. I love your bold red. It's putting embers on my dimly glowing activities :D
