I am glad you pointed that site out. I have been looking at NoScript plugin warning in FireFox and keep seeing "Allow Blackhatx.com" and "Temporarily Allow Blackhatx.com" I wondered what the hell that was about. Now I know that it comes from two plugins I downloaded here. CB Goliath and Amazon Goliath. I know it was not your download that was infected, but now I have to remove the plugins and find clean ones. Lucky for me the sites are not online yet.

Lesson: There are only a few people here who have downloads that can be completely trusted because they check the code before sharing. You are one of the good people. Most other people just share stuff they found somewhere else but do not check to see if code is good.

If the uploader has only a few posts DO NOT BE THE FIRST TO DOWNLOAD AND PUT ON YOUR SITE!!!!!!! WAIT UNTIL IT IS CHECKED FOR DIRTY CODE.

Also DO NOT USE SOFTWARE WITH ENCRYPTED CODE. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS DOING. It may do what it is supposed to do, but you DO NOT KNOW WHAT ELSE IT MAY DO.

I uploaded and entered info in settings area including working G account. Even entered in some rubbish for CB receipt.

Can see the plugin working when I look at all post cause it shows ranking and such.

But when making new post and clicking "Get Keyword Winner Suggestions", get "An error ocurred when fetching data from Google Insights, please check your mail/password information."

Thinking I have everything set right.

Thanks for the great share, Taur. I just installed it, but haven't tried it yet so I don't know if I will have the same problems as the ones above did. I'm excited to try it out!

I will have to see if there is some kind of error in their code to scrape from Google Insights or if they fetch it from their servers somehow, although i doubt that, the easiest explanation for the moment is some kind of incompatibility between their code and Google Insights. Will have to check the code to be sure though, it's possible it's not that at all, although it seems likely.

Looks like the plugin is a little broken.

Was digging through the code and in GoogleInsightSearch.php there's the reference links the plugin uses for the keyword insights.

Looks like the following are old.

Code:

     var $_url_OverviewReport = 'https://www.google.com/insights/search/overviewReport';
        var $_url_Insights = 'https://www.google.com/insights/search/';

As those pages don't work anymore and get redirected. The new ones might be:

     var $_url_OverviewReport = 'http://www.google.com/trends/trendsReport';
        var $_url_Insights = 'https://www.google.com/trends/';

But those changes still don't make the plugin work. But the problem should be in that file, just a little beyond me since I haven't worked with the api.

From what I've found there's at least a 3.0.4 version of this plugin. I've found a 3.0.3 version but still didn't work.

If anyone happens to have the 3.0.4 version, or if there is a newer version (if there is one), please be kind enough to share. And maybe we can get this puppy working.
